Yes, when I had been composing my post, I'd only seen the initial batch of photos, showing the slides. Since then, I've also seen the closer photo of Buzzsaw. I suppose smartphone or tablet is also a possibility.

Or whatever the heck an Onyx tablet device is.

Whatever he is, can't wait to have him!

Re: People discussing Sky Lynx repaint/remold possibilities.

I'm sure Hasbro has something up their sleeves, but it will take a lot of work, I think. It will be one heck of a remold! After all, the other characters being discussed are robots with a beast mode. Sky Lynx, on the other hand, is a mechanical beast with a vehicle mode.

I still, even though I doubt it, hope Sky Lynx might split so we also have the separate lynx and bird modes that the G1 toy had. If he did split, it could make remolding easier. They could just discard the bird part all together and attach a new top to the beast mode.

Literally too much hype for me to handle.

Bruticus and the Combaticons are a dream come true. Swindle being the Rook retool instead of Brawl is probably the biggest plot twist ever. In love with Onslaught and Brawl (even though I think his tank cannon shouldn't detach to become a hand-held weapon)! It was about time they made Blast Off a jet fighter; didn't like how he had the "why is there a space shuttle on the army guy team" thing going on, anyway. But I must ask; why Slingshot's head? Fireflight would've been way better! Would like to know how they're doing the brown chest (which isn't really brown, really)/gray chest thing, distribution-wise. In any case, preordering the second the Combaticons available.

In love with Shockwave. Would've liked a Deluxe figure for him, but Legends will suffice.

Sky Lynx is cool, but I'm more for Bruticus.

Hound is incredibly tempting... I'm kinda over the Universe (2008) Deluxe, and this guy just looks great!

Might as well go for Mirage since I missed out on the old Classics Deluxe.

Buzzsaw = Soundwave and crew? Please be so!

Glad to hear reassurance in the Legends Insecticons... there's a Kickback-shaped hole on my shelves!

The rest of the Deluxes and Legends do not pique my interest, fortunately. Money saved for all the above fellas!!!

I'm sure there will be some re-use of it eventually. Hopefully as someone I want, as I am on the fence about getting these Combaticons. It is a gorgeous tank, though. And I am so happy he isn't another lazy H-tank! (Ocassionally they are good, such as Generations Deluxe Warpath. But usually I just see H-tanks as just a lazy way to fold a four limbed robot into a tank without having to put too much thought into the design.)

The Combaticons look amazing but I reaallly wish they'd properly reshelled Vortex rather than just redecoing him. I am glad they made Blast Off a jet though, a space shuttle was always a stupid alt mode.

Legends Shockwave is awesome. Legends Chop Shop looks good but he needs different mandibles.

Sky Lynx looks great. The combiner feature is nice too, but I'll be displaying him with my Legends.

Couldn't care less about the various retool Autobots. A nice idea but I'm not interested.

I go out for a few hours and miss the big reveals!

Wow, some pretty cool stuff coming out. That Sky Lynx looks amazing. I have no idea why he's a combiner torso, nor do I care for it, but I just love the way he looks and will certainly be getting him.

As for the Autobot limb bots - can't say I'm interested. The existing CHUG versions are still good enough for me, and these aren't big enough an improvement for me to want to buy them. Perhaps Prowl I might shell out for, only because I prefer the head sculpt to the current Classics version. The Legends figures don't do it for me either. Don't like the Wreck Gar figure, and Pipes just doesn't work for me at all.

As for Bruticus - well I'm torn. Don't get me wrong he looks great in combined mode, really does. However, my general rule is to not do more than one version of a character (due to money and space issues) and I'm actually really happy with my FoC version with the Boosticus upgrade. I love the Cybertronian look of the FoC version, but the downside is that he's a little flimsy in comparison to these, much sturdier CW combiners. I don't like Blast Off as a jet (think it's really lazy by Hasbro), but I'm sure Takara will rectify that. Just not sure with CW Bruticus at the moment, and after spending hundreds on Defensor, Superion and Menasor I don't think I can justify buying a second Bruticus, especially since Computron is likely to appear too.

I have all of those figures in their current Classics versions, myself, and these aren't about to replace them to me as my primary versions of the characters. Still, they strike me as a neat idea.

Although about Prowl, specifically... This just occurred to me. The heck with his head sculpt! It will just be nice to have a Prowl whose paint isn't an awful, sticky, smudgy mess! (How that ever got by Hasbro's QC is beyond me! Worst paint I ever had on a Transformers toy, or any toy period!)

Um i would probably say get the takara verison but i would say you should wait for an third party to make abtter torso for bruticus

now THIS is more like it.

gotta say as much as i love what theyve done with defensor devestator and superion ive already got the originals so i felt no need to pick em up.

by the same reasoning i wont be picking up bruticus. no matter how cool he looks (and he is)

but i love the idea of original ones like sky reign . am bitterly disappointed in battle core optimus though. i was hoping it would be a better version of whats been released already for ultra prime as i didnt like the head mold on that and thought the overall look was a bit "cheap", so i was gonna pick him up to make optimus maximus.

but i dont like the white colour.

so looks like my option now is to pick up the existing red prime and wait for the lads to make up a "propper" optimus maximus when the come out next year.

TBH though for the first time i may actually buy into the "scramble city" style of these combiners.

like i said i like the idea of sky reign but im not a big fan of many of his limbs so i could see myself getting skylynx and forming him with mirage, ironhide, prowl , and hound.

i dunno but its the first time ive thought of going outside the "official" line up on a combiner.

whats really making me laugh though is here we are on year two of combiner wars and so fare we STILL cant make the "optimus prime combiner" from "masquerade"!

come on lads, ya have mirage and prime, a retool of the stunticons to give us windcharger (deluxe size

) sideswipe and jazz should be no problem.

its a no brainer !

dont want to come off as negative though, this has been the best period for updates in ages and im well happy with em. only sore spot i have is that being from ireland the only way i'll get HALF em will be online as the product turnout on the shelf is beyond shyte.

all i really need now is to get some love shown for the beast combiner bots, we need us some predaking/abominus/pirannacon.

hell a proper monstructor would be great ! especially considering his role in the comics so far.

So the back of Hotspot's vehicle is the front of Onslaught's vehicle. Must admit that that's pretty clever. the amount of remoulding on Onslaught is crazy and has me super excited for the Combaticons.

Also worth noting is that Shockwave is dead, Cyclonus is no where near the conflict and Galvatron VEHEMENTLY hates the idea of combining. I think we can take some derivations as read.

Plus, if we do that, there's hope for Computron, considering a lot of the Technobots are dead in IDW.
