Those show up regularly on eBay. It's the black set that's tough to come by, though I'm assuming Scott must have bought up some of the lots I saw recently that had one or two of the black ones in it. I was being lazy hoping to get the set of black ones all in one fell swoop.

Got 4/6 regular reissue bots and 4/6 of the black ones at Robot Kingdom. They weren't super pricey either! Threw them in with some Kreo Battle Changers since Kreo's been canned in this country and the last TFC Predacon that I needed and the shipping was not actually all that bad. I think it's just tiny orders where the shipping is bonkers there.

I wasnt collecting then so I am more sad that I am stuck with these prices now moreso than having missed out on them. But as I said, if you just want to experiment with some of them, the ones on robot kingdom are pretty cheap.

The color set was 190$ on the e-bay link you posted. So I assume that's not a fair price (the 190$) right? Unless we are talking about the difference of mint vs used.

The Landcross G1 and Micromaster DX "reissue" sets are all over the board price wise. I got a beautiful near mint, but opened, complete boxed G1 Landcross set for Y25,400 including shipping in April 2014. Sometimes they sell for over $400. In my case, I bought it for under $250. There are a lot of differences between the reissue set and the original to warrant owning both from more detailed paint apps (particularly on the faces of the reissues) to better stickers or different paint apps on the original G1 set. If it wasn't for the improved and more detailed face paint apps on the reissues, I'd probably have gotten rid of it when I got the original set but there are just two many differences!

Messing with MP Victory Saber made me want to pull out my Multi-Force reissues. They're good for what they are but I hate to say combined Landcross isn't that sturdy. The hips made from Waver have no support for the torso and Wing's, wings don't fold flat properly to secure the chest plate.

Just an update on the Seeker set. I just picked up mine from RK.

Description:

1. Minute degradation. Cockpit bubble a bit lose. Robot faces are no longer glossy but the rest of the body are 1980s glossy smooth
2. Wing decals are now manually applied using the silvery type decal
3. Thrust's missiles. There seems to be some compromises in order to sell him with its 1980 thin design. What is it? The missile launchers have been remolded gutting out the spring and the switches. And the rust red ring that used to be found on the launcher is now black. The gutting is a fair compromise
4. Ramjet's jet mode really looks bad@ss compared to the henkei version.
5. The rubber tires melted (for those who can't get it, for shame if you are a true G1 connoisseur)

You know what? All the modern developments of toy engineering and computerized precision painting (Tomy did it for Encore Meister) but they (Tomy/Hasbro) couldn't do the same for the Seekers For my Seekers, I cut the eye decals up and apply them using a sharp tooth pick. Also to note, the decal printing details are a bit blurred in my version.

It seems that Platinum Edition Reissues aren't exclusive to just ToysRus anymore! While the Insecticon 3-pack has been spotted in Stateside K-Marts, the Transformers Platinum Edition Seeker Squadron (Conehead) 3-Pack has now been listed at Wal-Mart.ca! They are listed at the delicious CAD price of $84.92 which automatically qualifies for free shipping (for $50 plus orders). Hopefully this means they might eventually see actual store shelves (and likewise in the States online and in store), but Seibertron.com will keep you updated!

That's a pretty reasonable price for the coneheads!

On my end, I found a Blitzwing at a flea market and the black n white Commemmorative Astrotrain on Ebay.
