As I sit here looking at ebay at the $80 price tags for the cobra island gijoe figures, I cant help but agree with you. Except choking is too nice. WAAAAAAAY too nice.

I don't even want to look at those.. I feel lucky I found a Beach Head before the vultures got to them.

The only reason I got him was a local collector called me and told me, I immediately raced there to grab one. I left 2 on the pegs and while I was walking out 3 guys were coming in, one stopped me and asked how many they had left, I said two then one of the other guys asked me "do you really want that one?" I replied yes I am purchasing it as soon as I get up front. He then called me a dick so I told him to go F himself.

I completely understand buying an extra then later choosing to sell the extra. People who take everything off the shelf without leaving a single one, unless it's the only one, behind can get bent.

re-reading that, you are correct sir. Still no reason to call someone names over if said someone is only buying one and not liquidating the shelf. I would be bummed out too, but I wouldn't insult someone over it. unless they were my friends. we give each other crap for buying stuffs all the time.

But the scalper situation has lead to some good improvements, this has-con exclusives included. sale limits, preorders, etc. all good changes for the buying experience. Not just Hasbro, neca too is working on this.

That is exactly what most of them do. One Target got a case of Cobra troopers and one guy bought them all and bragged how he put them on ebay to someone I know.

Nice to see the stuff even if I'm not that interested in it.

D&D figures could be costly though especially if they do toon versions or homages. Marvel Legends Hand Ninja is going to be a must for my GI Joes (if Cobra Island figure order comes though).

Marvel legends Rogue -her head is still awful toybiz marvels vs capcom version still wins.

Haslab starwars still doesnt seem to be set up for international backers from the get go, so not a chance the next transformers one being either -if there is one. I'm sure they will partner with some companies to offer it during the campaign like they have the others.

I kinda liked the star wars xmas stuff though that sounds like a collectors nightmare with each one exclusive to a different retailer.

Quintesson pits just going to be a no for me with it being priced higher from not being offered through UK distribution but hopefully we get a lot of transformer reveals tomorrow and the prime 10th anniversary set is a must.

Does anyone know what the G1 Blaster action figure is behind Kelly Rise's right shoulder? It looks like RED or a War for Cybertron figure. Will have screen cap soon if no one beats me to it.

I can't have a D&D figure because I'm the other side of the pond...that's cool. I cant afford it anyways not a great way to start off a potentially new line of figures.

GI Joe Classified...I'm in for Cobra only and four figures shown, two exclusives, all cobra. Two are troop builders. Owch but really cool stuff.

Prime, a nice surprise of Megatron reissue not sure if i will be picking it up as my son has no optimus for me to erm..borrow to display next to it. The vehicon set will be ordered if possible.

RED Prime arcee looks nice and so does Cheetor. I planned on picking up Knock Out so Arcee seems likely but unless they are going to do larger sized figures for bulkhead etc I'm not sure they will be high on my would likes list.
Cheetor may be too tall to go with the Kingdom figures but it beats looking at the Kingdom figures bot mode so he may be my first RED.

Kingdom, Primal is looking great, Megatrons looking really good and Cyclonus is swaying more to a definite buy. The fossilisers are great too and it's nice to be able to say that about something new they are trying (the modulator bases just didnt work for me).

Not expecting ghostbusters or power rangers to be that wallet demanding (depends on kenner retro GB's and a full team packs of rangers as I'm only in for the villains so far. Lord Drakkon Evo is too expensive to me for one figure and I have him in white anyways).

Cylonus is terribly mis transformed in Jet mode for some reason. Hands sticking out the back when they clearly fold into his forearms, and apparently the biceps should collapse into the shoulder to bring the jet mode together.

Definitely must get Paleotrex if only to complete Primal’s weapons.

Slight correction. Vertebreak turns into a fossilized dracorex, not a velociraptor. Im really loving all of these Kingdom reveals, even though I am probably only getting the predacons. I do wonder, though, if that flap is supposed to sit on Primals crotch like that. it just looks, out of place...

Okay so maybe I missed something along this Kingdom Leak and reveal journey, but why are they giving a CORE class spot to Optimus Prime? Up until now, they've religiously followed a scale chart to making each character as true-to-scale as realistically feasible (although some nit-pickers will argue this with figures like astrotrain, etc), but now they're just randomly giving us a mini Optimus. I feel like there's got to be some sort of reasoning within the beast wars universe that would explain this, but I wouldn't know because, truth be told, I know Jack Squat about Beast Wars.

I'm excited for all the rioting Beast Wars fans who have been waiting for this line, but with a little self control I'll be passing on most of these since almost none of these aesthetics appeal to me. However I can't help but think the idea of having a shelf space dedicated to organic animalistic transformers is fun. But at the end of the day, I'm just really holding out hopes for the new Studio Series 86 Line reveals, they look pretty fantastic so far.

Also, the packaging for this Kingdom line is a nice refresh from Siege and Earthrise. Didn't expect them to make such a jump is design change. Looks fantastic though. Pretty sneaky how Hasbro is slowly minimizing the plastic window on the packaging to transition to no-plastic packaging in a couple years.

It could be a reference to the story in the Transformers Legends compilation novel from the early 2000's where in the last story a bunch of Optimuses? Optimi? Optimus? 4-ish OPs get together at Maccadam's to throw back some energon and destress about the conflict, and in this story the sizes for the G1 OP, Beast Wars OP, Beast Machines OP and the other version that I can't remember right now are based on the toys at the time with the original Beast Wars Optimus Primal being huge compared to G1 OP.

While he looks good overall, I continue to be unimpressed with Optimus Primal as a Voyager class figure. I don't care if it's more in-scale with Megatron. He should be a leader. I'll stick with my original 90s Primal, thanks.

I agree: he's similar to the Stygimoloch, or a juvenile Pachycephalosaurus. Not like it matters really, only the Jurassic Park toy lines seem to care (even if they got some genera wrong).

There isn’t a single thing here that isn’t completely awesome! I’m happy that we can finally get some modern/screen accurate Beast Wars that isn’t aren’t insanely high MP prices.

My only thing is Optimus Prime? Wondering why he’s a core class figure? I fully expected yet another retool of his Siege body but not this, especially since everyone else (the Bots and Cons), are in scale?

My theory is that (fiction wise), something bad happened to OP so he had to transfer himself to a smaller Maximal form? That would be sorta inline with how things happened in the show, albeit some weird reversal.

I think the core Optimus is more to do with the Titan Class Ark Transformer
