That's a fair question, i'm going to have to do some investigating, but I thought it was answered as the typical, 'we have no plans to complete them at this time', you know like the G1 Blaster, Prowl, Soundwave, etc. waves of the battle things that they came out with back in Cybertron's toy line.

Probably. The thing that's annoying is that at least some of them have been released over in Europe.

Same question I always ask.

During the Energon toy line you included cards with the figures that featured character art on one side and their tech specs on the reverse. Takara has continued to include similar character cards with their Henkei, Binaltech, and Masterpiece releases yet this feature was not included in any other Hasbro released line after Energon ended. Are their any plans to bring this feature back? Perhaps as an updated form of G1 Tech Spec cards.

This is probably a silly question but I would love to know the answer.

Does the upcoming RoTF Voyager Mindwipe have the headmaster gimmick? If not, is there the potential for a headmaster version to be released at a later date?

Edit: As an aside, since it is unlikely that RoTF Mindwipe is a headmaster it would create another opportunity for 3rd party manufacturers to make an adaptor and headmaster head...

I have a late addition:

1) Near the end of the 1st Movie line, three Basics - Reverb, Gunbarrel, and Backtrack - were leaked but never saw release. Since you have made Reverb in ROTF as a motorcycle, any chance of sneaking Gunbarrel and Backtrack in there? Maybe as new molds or repaints? *END OF QUESTION, IF THIS IS SENT TO HASBRO, ONLY SEND THIS PART*

*DO NOT SEND THIS PART*
Here are my suggestions: Perhaps in a two-pack with one another? Or Gunbarrel with a Movie-accurate Voyager ROTF Ironhide (the one with the accurate cannons) to represent the Alliance comic, where Ironhide reported that Reverb and Gunbarrel had been terminated, or Backtrack with another Decepticon? If not, can we at least se repaints of ROTF toys with these names? How about a blue Knock Out for Backtrack and, say Dune Runner or some other for Gunbarrel?

I would donate a testicle to science if these saw a release. I loved the AllSpark Blue on them (some of the few figures that looked good) and I need about a thousand E Kickback repaints. It's one of my favorite basic molds from Energon.

Re: HASBRO Q/A October Questions Roundup

With the soft, rubbery plastic tires of many of the old RID figures beginning to crack and disintegrate, I am concerned that so many of the ROTF figures are also very reliant on softer plastics.

For example, the treads of Voyager Demolishor, the treads of Deluxe Rampage and the parts of Leader Jetfire that hook up around Optimus Prime's chest.

Thankfully, in a recent Q&A session Hasbro said there would be no future issues with that other nemesis of old toys, Gold Plastic Syndrome.

In a similar vein, can Hasbro confirm that the rubbery plastic used so prominantly in the ROTF line will not age and wear like the tires on my RID Omega Prime?

Thanks in advance!

1) Thou the concept of Shattered Glass was introduced by FunPub and not directly from Hasbro, It has been welcomed favorably by fandom at large. With this in mind, is there any discussion or plans to explore Shattered Characters in regular retail in the future.

2) Many of us got a laugh when the Collectors Club combiner was finally revealed as "Nexus Maximus" a name that was already being used for an "Adult Item". The story from FunPub was they requested a few names and that was suggested back. When planning releases beyond a check of copyright, do names get "Googled" or check with other sources to avoid issues of this nature? Did this situation change the way names are assigned, or could something like this happen again?

1) Generally speaking, whatever is made by the club stays with the club. There is still the possibility of older main retail toys being repurposed by the artists and writers of Shattered Glass.

2) While "Nexus Maximus" did clear legal, Hasbro did Google the name... with safe mode on, so no adult content was shown. Tiny mistake there, and probably likely to happen again (during office hours)

Thanks JGR, but
1) the understanding that what happens in the club stays in the club, is well known, the question remains if they would go beyond that due to the popularity of this or other products that could come up in the future or if hasbro perfers to stay in their protected shell.
2) same again, (thou thanks for point out the safe mode check) the question is not how did it pass but could this happen again or are they going to take safe mode off?

And just caught me after editing :P Anywho, I could see it happen that if Shattered Glass enters regular retail, it might loose some of its exclusivity, and Hasbro'd want to avoid that. I mean, fans demanded the BotCon Seekers to be released in regular retail, but Hasbro said no. I could see the same thing happening with Shattered Glass.

As for *ahem*, see the edit. I've worked in an office and Google Safe mode is on by standard. I've seen enough products of similar nature that the chance of it accidentally becoming a TF name is fairly small, if not abysmal.

1) As explained many times before, Hasbro is interested in creating a combiner team one way or another. There are just too many factors that seem prohibitive at this time, not just the design itself. Just wait for an announcement. :)
As for Menasor, the Stunticon homages in the movie line are standalone robots. Universe Drag Strip and Henkei Wildrider can be used as substitutes, but chances for a Motormaster (at least named as such) are slim since Hasbro lost the trademark.
2) You'll just have to wait and see. There is an increase in G1/G2 homages, obvious ones like Bludgeon, and obscure like Mindwipe and Skystalker who will combine in the same way as G2 Dreadwing and Smokescreen.
3) That's a good question. :)
