Transformers DOTM Deluxe Soundwave may not be scheduled to release domestically, but he managed to find his way to retail in several parts of Asia, and like many figures before him his instruction sheet reveals a possible future head sculpt. With the future of the DOTM figures in question will this figure ever see the light of day, and who could he be? The original poster on twitter, @Blonde_Badass, speculates movie universe Blaster.

That new head reminds me a lot of blaster with those ears and the visor.. well a movie version.

That's not exactly accurate. DOTM Soundwave was not cancelled; it's just not being released in the Western markets. And Hasbro HAS said that they would try to get these figures released in some way. (They put money into making the mold, so they probably want to get some value from it.) Maybe a Soundblaster repaint could be released as part of the Generations line.

I thought I remembered reading somewhere that they weren't gonna be able to reuse the movie line toys because the vehicle modes are licensed? Or am I just crazy?

GOOD LUCK, because the ONLY way to get them, and thats if they are available much longer is on Ebay, through Foreign sellers. I had to shell out $34 for Soundwave shipped, $60 for Leadfoot, and a ridiculous $80 for Que shipped!!! But its a chance I am telling you. Hasbro may screw us and release them somewhere state side like RTS Windcharger AFTER a lot of people speculate and then take a chance and buy them at a high price. But I already look at it from the OTHER side, that these are just going to go UP in price. Hell the Que has already in 4 weeks went from $45 on Ebay to as high as $125!!!!
