I didn't purchase one, but it's still impressive. Some of the pics have odd placement, but in pretty much every one, the top of Fort Max's head reaches the top of Unicron's shoulder, not sure where the size issue is. It's always been said to be 27 inches in Robot Mode, 30 in planet mode. Aso as far as mass, yeah it's nearly Double that of any other titan.

And let's not forget that Metroplex and Fort Max are only as tall as they are because they are both hollow as all get out.

I wonder how many might have backed it, but have since ran into financial troubles/job loss and will end up having to sell it for a profit because of their situation.

I didn't back it, but that is the exact spot I would be in if I did. Not covid-19 related in my case, but still took a hit on something else last year.

For anyone in that situation, I hope you can get as much as possible.

Many have unfortunately lost jobs. Many however have also saved stimulus and perhaps other assistance some government may offer. Ironically many could probably afford to back one now when they couldn't during in the summer of 2019

I couldn't afford Unicron at the time he came out, and with other things, I really couldn't afford to pay for him now either, moreso because I realized I just don't care enough to spend the kind of dough I had pre-ordered him for. So I did cancel him, and at no cost since I got in the preorder before any kind of down payment was required.

That was the only part that broke? I mean that's a big deal as well, but it still could have been worse. Hopefully Hasbro offers replacement parts. For that price, it should have been cushioned much better. Packing materials aren't that expensive.

If we're going all cardboard, no styrofoam or plastic inserts, at the very least the middle or every 1/3 should have been anchored. Weren't the Cyber series packaged the same way? :-?

Do tell him to notify Hasbro and see what they offer. At the very least they could learn from this and prevent similar breaks in the future.

Especially after Hasbro has said multiple times that they're putting a lot of effort into the packing to prevent breakage. And this person who has the broken part likely picked it up from a local shop where it came off a pallet rather than through the mail so that's even more troubling.

Just to relate an experience. Someone posted on YouTube about getting an ER Scorponok with missing segments from one of the scorpion legs. Hasbro had no replacement parts,nor another Scorponok, so they offered a free deluxe selects figure they had in stock as compensation. I would hope for something like Unicron Hasbro would be prepared for such things... But it doesn't instill confidence.

Yea, very painful. It also makes it "obvious" that they had every intention of making the center of his maw yellow right until the actual production stage, where they just decided to say "f*** it, let's save $3". It just makes me sad.

Not if it's going to be more suprise changes like they just pulled on Unicron. I'm very disappointed about the blue Maw. I would really like Hasbro to paint it but everyone that contacted customer service got back the same response of how they pride themselves on their transparency.

A friend that isn't much of a Transformers fan sent these to me through Messenger. They come from someone on Twitter who found them posted on Instagram by someone who found them on an unnamed Facebook page (gotta love social media :roll:

Not sure just how easy it is to remove the kibble, I'm undecided if I'll be keeping all of it attached or not. You only get one set of wings/ring so it wont display that well, IMO, if you do try to do this.

So the person took off all the planet panels, and was able to get not only a more tidy-looking robot mode, but a planet mode as well? That's pretty good. Like you said, having one set of rings kinda dampens it, but it's still a cool idea. If I had the figure, I'd leave the rings on the back of the robot. But I don't know if I'd be brave enough to start taking him apart in the 1st place. $600 is $600.

It kinda looks like the joints circled in red are held by pins, so those circles may be indicating the spots that need the most work to remove the planet kibble.

Possibly, but those look like they would end up being really big pins. Possibly screws instead? At least for the parts on the legs, that would make more sense to me than pins, just due to how large they would be.

They look to me like the breakaway connections that are designed to come loose rather than break the plastic, but it's hard to tell from the pictures.
