Dedicating $575 all at the same time to buying Transformers could be allocated towards buying pretty much every rare older Transformer that I even have a slight inkling of a desire to get. Or, I could get this single immensely impressive figure that is so huge, rare, and unwieldy, I'd probably only transform it once. Hell, it'd work better as an MISB investment for me since the aftermarket price will likely reach absolutely asinine levels in a few years. That's... actually kind of a compelling reason, but I'm not really one for selling figures, so still a no.

Older figures, no matter how expensive they are, will still be available at the same price in a few weeks or months.
That right now, it's your only shot at Unicron. And as you said, if you miss out, you don't want to see the Ebay price.

I dont really get the meme.

Now that I get.
I think we'll probably see a bunch of late game fence riders jump in towards the end as well.AcademyofDrX wrote:It looks like there have been a bunch in the last day or so, possibly in response to the Pulse marketing email.
I think it hit close to a 1000 users on day one. Let's assume that we see that many more sign up on the last day. To get from 1700 (present total) to 7000, that's a slightly lower daily average, from ~170 to ~135. More succinctly, it's just under 1000 a week. Back of envelope:
7/27: 2500
8/03: 3500
8/10: 4500
8/17: 5500
8/24: 6500
8/31: 8000
