Not quite. About 10 years ago I had bought the original Arcee Prototype off of a Canadian E-bay seller. It was a glorified brick, but it was pretty special at the time. Sadly, I needed money badly due to a "poor investment" and I sold her for a good profit.

I even tried tracking her back down for the dude from Rabbid Squirrel, but with no luck.

Wow. Did it transform? Or was it a non-transforming prototype? Got any pictures?

But any prorotypes don't really count. It's not like it was released. I mean it's not like we can say there's a Titanium shockwave toy or a G1 Unicron toy. There's prototypes, sure, but ... no final, released toys.

I mean, they're robots and everything, but that's a decidedly male robot for a decidedly female TF. We're getting kinda off track here, but just picture THAT body with a G1 Arcee head. I don't think it'd look good, but I think it'd be kind of hillarious.

The only reason it wouldn't have worked, at least for me, is if they used the original head as I believe they did for Minerva. I can live with G1 Chromedome's body. (I don't need to remind you of Cybertron Override's figure do I?) To bring things back on topic: if HeadRobots is willing to do a G1 Headmaster head based off G1 Arcee, I wouldn't mind tracking down a headless Chromedome and repainting it based on the sketch I was talking about before.

Neo G1 figures aside, I never got into the Unicron Trilogy. I don't think Cybertron Override is a very convincing lady, but s/he's WAY more ladylike than G1 Chromedome.

We'll just have to agree to disagree on Chromedome. I think not following through on that shows good sence they lost on Binaltech Arcee. Although it does deprive us of, what would have been, the most messed up TF until Kiss Players.

I'm not sorry they didn't follow through on it either. The only reason (besides the Stylor head) it would have failed is because of what I think you were getting at with Override being more ladylike; Chromedome's too much of a brick to be "ladylike" that way.

I'd still take that over BT Arcee, though.

And I don't see how it'd be anywhere near as messed up as KP ended up being, even as someone who bought Convoy X Melissa. (Why couldn't that have been more like Human Alliance? I don't think I'm gonna end up finishing that line, but it was even better than BTA, IMO.)

It was official alright. Had the trademark & time stamp on it like the test of them. It did transform, but even for the time it was hard to stand up in robot mode.

That was it, god it's been so long now. If only I had known back then just how stupid rare it would have been and was!

A thought I've had on characters that could be done using the Hothead mold.

Galen – Since Spike got the role of Cerebros' headmaster component when Fort Max was released, Galen would get the Fort Max-based deco here.

Daniel – A Chromedome-based deco, since that was the figure that would have been repainted if that Headmaster Arcee figure had been done. As for why the Chromedome deco: the story of Daniel becoming a Headmaster component would be similar to what happened in Rebirth, except for the fact that it would be set in the classic-verse. Since classic-verse was a possible follow-up to Marvel's G1 comic, Arcee would never become a Headmaster.
