I'd be curious to know why. Perhaps those two are playing it safe due to either toy safety laws or a previous slap on the wrist from Hasbro?

The fact that it transforms into a realistic handgun can't help. Why would they want to order a bunch of these just to have them confiscated at customs?

They wouldn't, and that's exactly why ToyWorld posted that message. I'm very curious how U.S. retailer Captured Prey managed to slip Hegemon under the radar. I did notice that the photos feature a cap on the tip of the pistol, which could very well be the answer to the customs issues. I'm sure the cap is removable, though.
