so my old comps hardrive is slagged, so i grabbed my backup computer from storage. after a bunch of updated and fighting with this blasted machine i got it up to net surfing standards. its an outdated piece of crap, but at least it "works"
But fire fox keeps crashing often when I'm on Facebook, but not always.. Happens like twice an hour. its annoying as all hell.
Can anyone help me? I got no computer skills per se, and I don't know what to do.

Have you tried any other internet browsers? Can your computer even support the new versions?
My computer does that with Facebook also, I think Facebook just sucks when it comes to internet connectivity.

Firefox is garbage. I really hate when it opens a download window everytime I download something. Also, it is really unstable - It crashed every time I logged out of one of my universities site.

The first thing I would ask is:
Have you tried using another web browser on the computer to visit Facebook?
If you haven't, please try Internet Explorer or another web browser. We need to determine if the crash happens with just Firefox or any other web browser on that computer.
Also, you mention that it happens every couple of hours. I'm assuming you haven't noticed any common trigger that causes this. Does the crash ever happen when you're just reading something and not actively doing anything like posting or playing on one of the game apps?
Do you get error messages or a Windows Event Viewer screen come up when Firefox crashes? If so, what does the error state?
I use Opera!

Use to use firefox and Facebook did the same thing, crashed a few times. Started using a new browser and it works fine. Check out Ti-Took. It's based off of Google Chrome. Been using it for almost 6 months, love it.

so i used firefox to download the latest Internet explorer, then i had to use I.E. to download the latest flash stuff and 3 days of trying to get my flash player working right later i thing its running ok now.
heres hopin it doesnt crap ot agan. thanks for the suggestions. if an more problems pop up i'll post more. if anyone has any other advice let me know.
