Help please!

Postby QueenCPhoenix » Thu Jan 20, 2011 10:50 pm

Hello everyone! I'm new here, and I have to say, I know nothing about Transformers. But that's why I'm here :)

I need some help here. I live in the US, and I am making a trip to visit a very dear friend in England come March. He is a huge Transformers collector, and I want to bring him a present! So basically, I am trying to find out what toys were never released in the UK (apart from the new Spastic guy). I honestly don't know where to look, and Google searches have been inconclusive so far.

Here's hoping you guys can help me, because I am a bit lost!

There is a huge list of figures never released over here! I'll assume you want to just go to a shop and pick it up rather than track it down on the web so I'd suggest the Reveal the Shield figures. I haven't heard of a TF fan who doesn't like G1 related stuff so I'm certain this will please your friend.

BTW, I live in England. Are you visiting me? :P

A friend of mine at Scotland UK asked me to buy Generation Thunderwing and RTS Tracks few days ago. These two aren't hard to find at the US retail stores now.

@Mykltron, I will, but I am not planning to fly there. :P

I thought I replied to this earlier, but I guess not.

@Mykltron: You're brilliant, thanks SO much! Now I have somewhere to start. And hey, if you happen to live near Winsford, we'll talk lol.

@Paul053: What sort of retail stores would I go to? I haven't shopped at a store for Transformers since well.... never lol. Should I just go to Toys R Us or what? Also, I'll see what I can do about Windcharger, but I'm pretty sure my bag will be stuffed with Doctor Who toys, so I doubt I'll have any room :D

How many women would go through so much trouble to bring someone a toy? I hope he knows what he's got lulz

Last update on New Mexico's sighting forum is 2/10/2010......... :-(

Don't know about New Mexico but here in Minnesota, Reveal The Shield line (Jazz, Tracks, etc) can be easily found at Kohl's. You can also try KMart or Walgreen. Kohl's price could be high but they always have sales (or just simply say you forgot your coupons and usually they will give you discount). Generation, Hunt For The Decepticons, and Power Core Combiners line can be found at common retail stores such as Target, Walmart, and Toys R Us. If you have Meijer there, they may have some stuffs and good deals there, too.

Even if they're sighted, the box is probably written in Spanish anyway xD

No Meijer here sadly, they have awesome prices! I did speak to the guy, and I know he is specifically looking for Jazz and Tracks, so I will start with those. The Hasbro website is sold out of both, so I have a feeling it might be hard to find. I'll start looking around at the places you suggested though (my mother loves Kohl's so I know she's got some coupons stashed away), because it would probably cost less. But the other lines you mentioned, were those released in the UK?

I think I live nearer to France than the places you're visiting!

Here's hoping your friend hasn't given up on brick n mortar shops like I have and hasn't already bought them on the internet.

Oh, he totally has lol, Winsford is a small place. However, I know he doesn't have Jazz or Tracks from RTS. After loads of searching in town with no luck at all, I found them on eBay. But I am slightly hesitant to buy online because I don't know what a normal price is. I think my next move will be to check Target, I hear they may have the figures from the second wave of RTS.
