Henkei vs. Classics 2.0 - Galvatron

Postby chuuzetsu » Thu Jan 07, 2010 1:17 pm

I've been having some issues with a Hasbro Universe Classics Galvatron figure I picked up today. When he is in robot mode, his chest plate doesn't latch and his head ALWAYS slides down. I took a piece of cardbox and placed it in his back to hold his head up (and the flap panel covers it nicely). Has anyone else had a similar problem with Galvatron? How is the Henkei figure in comparison?

Press down on Galvatron's head (while holding on to his chest panel) to fold the joint down more securely. Mine has the same issue yours does and that's what I do to make it stick in place.

That said, Henkei has tighter joints all in all, including that one. I prefer it over Universe Galvatron.

That worked! Thanks for the tip, mate.

I still really like him...I think it would be cool though to have both Universe and Henkei side-by-side.

My universe Galvy had the same problem, fixed the same way... anyone else have a problem with his (non cannon) arm where it just does not want to stay attached? Personally I still think it's a fantastic figure, but damned if it isn't frustrating sometimes.

That arm comes off during transformation pretty easily for me, but not really at any other time.

Maybe a layer of super glue will fix the problem? Make the joint bigger and tighten it up a bit.

I haven't really transformed Henkei Galvy as often, but that really hasn't happened on him. I can't fathom why Henkei Galvy has suchtighter and more solid connections than Universe Galvy, but ... he does! Or at least mine does.

I haven't had any issues with the chest plate on my C-2.0 Galvy, but this is good to know if it becomes a problem.

My chief issue with the figure is that he never wants to stand up, and his cannon arm refuses to stay pointing, making him rather lackluster as a display piece. :( I also find that the "backs" of his feet don't really click into place. I see the tabs and the slots, but they just move right back out.

The arm on mine points fine. The backs of the feet also tab in fine for me, but they don't help at all in his standing. Luckily Scourge and Cyclonus are behind him to keep him propped up ... sorta like the cartoon!

Mine had the chest plate issue and i fixed it the same way as you guys did, his cannon arm is pretty solid and stays pointed at someone (no names) lol! but the back feet tabs wont stay and Galvy has a hard time standing and i feel hasbro and henkie could have soooo much more with this guy! Hell, even a voyager class would have be really awesome!

Overall, still a nice figure, G1 homeage there, posability is limited, but still recommended..

Looking over the big G today, I realized something: that the front part of his feet (the purple parts) can actually swivel so that they are sitting flat while his legs are angled. This does help his stability somewhat, but he is still very back-heavy... I just thought I would pass that along.
