I don't know if this has been discussed on here before, but i'm a big fan of Unicron and his lackeys.

I know CP has a nice 'Dead Universe' display;

Here's who i have at the moment:

Armada Unicron (natch);
Armada Sideways, Nemesis Prime;
BM Tankor, Obsidian, Blackarachnia;
Universe Reptilion, Nemesis Strika, Razorclaw.

Don't have the Armada beasts or the Blendtrons, and i'll have to pick up Botcon 2004 Megazarak, Universe Ramjet and Nemesis Prime.

And i've recently found out that Jelze Goldrabbit shares my love of these guys...

Also, any ideas on who else to use in a display?

I also have an affection (or is it an infection) towards Unicron's forces. Usually I don't like collecting figures based on a comicbook roster, but most of the figures within his forces are very pleasing repaints. Also, Rhinox, Airazor, and Cheetor look to evil to be Armada Autobots.

Well, there was a Botcon Cyclonus based on Beast Machines Jetstorm a while back. Might look nice next to Energon Galvatron (whom you may also want) because he's a larger toy, like Galvatron, but I dunno.

The Quintessons were originally supposed to be Unicron's minions ... could go there. Impossible toys made a bunch of 'em a while back and they're cheaper now.

I also like Unicron and got one side of his rings filled with Dead Ends.

In one of the GI Joe minis, the Battle Beasts were creatures that lived in Unicron. In a planned story the denizens of Cobra-La were. I don't have the first issue of that, though and I can't remember who else he used.

If you look closely on the back of Armada Airrazor, she has a decepticon symbol etched in there I think.

In my "minion/herald" section, I have Alt, Classics Voyager, RID and Armada (G2 heroes repaint) Nemesis Prime, along with Henkei and Universe Cyclonus, RotF Bludgeon and Mindwipe, Cybertron Sideways and Titanium Fallen, all around Armada Unicron. I would like the black energon version of him, but haven't picked him up yet.

I'd love a black E-Unicron, but have yet to come across one. My wife likes him a lot as well, so he's top priority. As for my Heralds, my organisation's a little bit different from what you'd expect. Here's what I have so far:

Back when I had them displayed, I used:

-All four Energon Terrorcons.

-Universe Nemesis Prime(Mammoth)

-Cybertron Sideways

-Universe Frostbite

-Beast Wars Mutants Soundwave(the Crocodile/Bat)

As I said, that was awhile ago, so things could change. I have Armada Sideways now, and it might be fun to use some new GoBots as heralds...

Anyway, not to be outdone, Primus also had some heralds!

-Universe Magna Stampede

-Universe Repugnus

I'm sure there were more, but I can't remember right now. Maybe this weekend I'll take some pics....

My principle four Heralds are:

Uni Nemesis Prime (Big Convoy mold)

Uni Ramjet

Beyond that, a complete display needs the Blendtrons (still missing Drancron), ML Sideways, every Universe Decepticon, Cybertron Soundwave, GF Soundblaster, the ML DVD villian Microns, Bug General, a representation of Galvatron, Cyclonus, and Scourge, TFCC Astro-Hook, Astro-Line, and Astro-Sinker, Titanium The Fallen, the Armada "Four Horsemen" Beast Remolds, Fox Kids TM Tarantulas (now with 50% extra undeadness), and finally, the Kiss Players Sparkbots.

You can, at your discretion, include OTFCC Megazarak, Antagony, and Armada Thrust.

Man...Shockaract is a herald of Unicron too? I got him for $50 on ebay because no one bid on it. I got it around 4am on a Saturday just browsing for toys. Well I can add him too then.

Well, he's not a Herald directly. What he did was find Unicron's essence and put it inside a Matrix-shaped container, mockingly naming it the "Matrix of Conquest". I suppose if you have a spare Matrix keychain you can use it on him too

Couldn't find energon Unicron myself, so i reckon i'll end up getting the 2010 Unicron.

Thanks for all the tips guys, there are a few there that i wouldn't have thought of.

Now that I'm thinking about it, wouldn't the BWII Cyborg Beasts be (indirectly) considered Heralds, or at least Minions as well? They were all mutated by Angolmois energy, which turned out to be Unicron's lifeforce.

My pic at the beginning of this, so I thought I'd chime in...

I actually only use Galvatron, Cyclons, and Scourge with Unicron proper. Well, his 3 Mini-cons from linkage are in there too. Those are my Heralds.

The whole "Dead Universe" think is of course borrowed from IDW's books, but it makes for a good way of incorporating all the multi-verse bending **** that Unicron is responsible for as well as discarding "The Rules" by which other fictions have mashed it all together. Like for instance Shockaract and all the BW related BotCon stuff...

It's ok. The stories are...ok. Shockaract? He sucks. Really. He sucks as a character and worse as a toy. For my tastes, that thing can stay off my shelves and he can keep his fall-off-the-bone chrome.

If a wicked good black repaint or sinister looking figure in general, he'll go in. I just think it's one opportunity to not let a spotty collection of fiction absolutely dictate who is in and who is out.
