If people really wanted a Red Ironhide (and after seeing the red Legends version i'm not interested) then maybe someone could see if Ironhide's head will attach to Alternator Prime.

Damn this looks good, no horrible unpainted grey plastic, no dodgy silver stripes, i may ave to get this one.

I'm hoping we will have a 100% accurate Ironhide for TF3 with proper exhausts that would be sweet. They already perfected Prime and Bumblebee so now they have to do Ironhide and Ratchet.

To everyone who wants a red Ironhide: I think it would look too bright his type of character. Besides, to me he'll never be G1 Ironhide, but rather G1 Trailbreaker. I know, he's missing the yellow-red stripes, but the black of the original and the blue of two of his repaints reminds me of the Diaclone version, which was either black, blue or yellow. Me thinks someone at Hasbro is a history buff.

Just remember folks, Hasbro confirmed that the 3mm clip system is a new standard to compliment the 5mm fist holes.

Nope, I'm saying future figures (like Scout Windcharger) have 3mm bars for clipping weapons onto.

Just you wait, I'll bet ANYTHING that one version of TF3 Voyager Ironhide will be red. Hasbro's probably just teasing us until TF3. And I bet deluxe HFTD Ironhide will be redeco'd red too.

If anything, they should do a Red Ironhide in the wave after the deluxe Rescue Ratchet, to go with him.

Now as for my gripe about the way they did this particular repaint...if you are going to have stuff "splattered" up on his fenders/door, then go all the way and make his tires and rims messy too. Totally screws up the effect giving him pristine tires and messy body panels. I know, it's nit-picky but for those of us getting them for display purposes, it's all about the details.

I agree with you on the colors. Actually, there is a really well executed Red Repaint of the movie figure in the Kitbash forums. Though it is a really well done repaint, I think the figure looks pretty strange in red. It just doesn't work at all, IMO. So, I am not as concerned about this as many people seem to be.

I will say this; I have the 07 Premium, the 07 Offroad, and Recon IH......so, I think that is about enough of this mold for me.

#1 Is there only one shade/brightness of red available in the world and I didn't get the memo? :-?

And #2, you're right, he'll never be G1 Ironhide. That's not the point. It's color scheme, not character traits.

Besides, every other main Autobot from the first film (and a few various other Autobot names since) has gotten their G1 color treatment, Bee's always yellow, First Strike Prime, that G1 colors Jazz, Rescue Ratchet. Other than a Fast Action Battler brick that's red only in truck mode, Ironhide hasn't received the yesteryear color scheme respect.
