What do y'all think the likeliness of him being re-released down the road in a more g1-y Seaspray paint scheme?
Lapse Of Reason wrote:It is a good figure and worth keeping. I paid about $20 and change for it though. $33 is a bit steep. I assume you are in Canada?

Yeah, I'm in Canada. And even then Zellers is known to generally have not the best prices for Transformers.
monstergrotusque wrote:As you know Zellers never puts TF's on clearance.
NuclearConvoy wrote:I was at Zellers today and saw a bunch of toys I didn't want and a few things I was on the fence about. Shortly afterwards, while talking with a collector I met in the aisle we found 2 hunt for the decepticons Seasprays and I grabbed one. The damn thing came out to 33$ with taxes (I was expecting much less, the shelf price must have been inaccurately placed) and now, financially, I should seriously return it. I haven't opened the box, because I was busy running errands all day with a friend....so I certainly can return it, I probably need to...but I don't want to, he looks so cool and he looks like he'll fit in nicely with the classicsverse stuff....
So, any thoughts on my annoying dilemna?
Prime Riblet wrote:I'm not trying to be a stick in the mud on this, but did you think to ask the person ringing the item up if it was the correct price? Also, if the price was too steep, why did you go ahead and buy the item? As far as returning the figure, I would agree with it if the figure had a defect, but it sounds like you simply made a poor decision with your money.

Well, I don't know much about Canadian pricing, but even I have to say that $33.00 doesn't sound right. I'm thinking it was rung up with an incorrect price. Even K-B here in the states wasn't quite that bad...
Autobot032 wrote:In all fairness to him, we don't know how the shopping trip went. Canadian, American, British, whatever they may be...the person behind the counter can be prickish and difficult to deal with, plus if it's a busy day, sometimes not asking happens because it just slips your mind. Heck, I've walked out of the store several times and never paid much attention until I saw the receipt. It happens, to everyone.

Canadian pricing is RETARDED: 29.99 is a pretty common price for a Voyager scale and Deluxes go for 15$ usually.

Dude, I had gone to bed at 6am and gotten up shortly before 10 and then rushed out to meet a friend who wound up being 2 hours late. I went in looking for thumbtacks and wound up leaving with a Transformer. I think I might have even been still a bit gone from the events of the night before.
Also, damn straight I'm allowed to return something. I didn't even bloody well open the package.
monstergrotusque wrote:yeah.....vogager is ALWAYS 29.99 plus tax until it ever goes on clearance.
Deluxe is usually 15.99 plus tax sometimes 17.99 plus tax.
Scouts are 11.99 to 12.99 plus tax.
