What? The Cybertron toys are widely considered to be the best of the Armada triology toys. They capped off that golden age with great sculpts, a huge cast, and a large diversity in toy types.
Sky-Quake wrote:the toys were good but the back story, bios and show were horrible but this is my opinion

Personally, I really liked "Cybertron". Cool CGI animation, what I thought was a good story, and a ton of characters. Plus, a whole load of really stereotypical accents! GREAT!

Thats what bugged me about Cybertron. Every one had a diferent accent. And then people call Bay racist when robots talk slang. And no one complained when they have actual accents...people.

What?
There's a logical disconnect in there that I am too tired to work out.

In Cybertron they had different accents to underscore the notion that the various Transformers came from various places to battle a common threat. The concept was the same as having a story deal with all the earths' nations uniting to save the human race as opposed to just saving the US or Sweden. The various robots had various accents to accentuate their differences of origin and cultures despite them all being Transformers.
Bay's twins were just stupid, and were the Jar Jars of the movieverse: intended to be universally loved, and when it turned out that people didn't universally love them, they were backpeddeled into being jokes that somehow no one got.
Portraying various groups coming together for the betterment of the entire species (as seen in Cybertron) is not racist.
Making fun of a group of people, even if it's parodical, (as is alleged in the Bay movies) can be seen as being racist. If the twins were supposed to be take offs on like, white suburban kids who think they're ghetto, that's just as racist as if they are supposed to be blacks who think they're ghetto.

Yeah, I guess Bay wanted to connect with the "Urban Market" via the "Subran Market", which is ridiculous since the movie's popularity translated extremely well globally. Hell, it's not like GI Joe where you clearly see what audience they're catering to. The ultimate fact that Transformers have barely, if any, clearly visible ethic connections makes it so widely loved.
Also, the Twins should've been based more so on a profession than stereo type. Like the Animated constructicons.

I can't argue at all Chupacabra. But I guess the problem there was what kind of connotations ice cream service techinicians carry as a group of professionals. I just think of Clint Howard....
