Laser Prime is being reissued? I haven't heard of this.

Brand new figure, just announced in the latest issue of the TFCC magazine.

Sweet! Been wanting that one for a while. What line is it being released in?

It's a brand new figure, so it's in Gene-freaking-rations.

I would also rather see reissues than dumb modernized cheap designs. Also, the Beast Wars anniversary series was horrible and I hope they do something else with the line. I really din't start to get into Transformers toys until 2004, and didn't follow storylines until the first movie, so I've missed out on tons of my now favorite characters.
Hasbro is just catering to GeeWunners now, which are trying to destroy the well-being of the modern-day loyal TF fan community.

Considering that about 90% of Car Robots/Robots in Disguise were repaints of G1, G2, BW and BM toys, IMHO the line was a forerunner to various Universe/Classics/Generations lines.

Plus other than Optimus Prime/Fire Convoy all the other orginal molds sucked.

Gotta disagree. Megatron is sweet. The Car Brothers too and the trainbots.
Not caring about scale since 1984. Just like Hasbro.

As previously said, we got Botcon Sky Bite and TFCC Sideburn is coming out from the Classics Rodimus mold.

I like to think Movie Desert Brawl was a homage to RID Armourhide. Shame they didn't give him that name and give us a new Movie character. I know there was another Movie Armourhide but Dead End's been used on a few Movie toys.

My repaint suggestions:

Classics Sideswipe - R.E.V.

Classics Mirage - Spychanger Mirage and Skid-Z

Classics Onslaught - Mega Octane

Classics Ironhide as Ox/Ironhide

Highly unlikely but....

Munitioner as Rollbar

Explorer as Mo-Vor or maybe Armada Jetfire?

which I suppose leads on to Bruticus Maximus as Ruination.

At a stretch, Movie Bonecrusher as Slapper and Cybertron Hot Shot as Prowl with Stockade as X-Brawn.

I honestly think we should do RID classics. At least Optimus Prime, Ultra Magnus, and Megatron.

Oh great! The line I like to call: For Deluxe Class Only.

Classics Mirage as RID Skid-Z seems like a no-brainer.

We could still quite easily see a Voyager Rhinox, he'd more than likely just be shoved in with Grapple in HFTD.

I'm pretty happy with the RiD figures we have tbh. Yes Ultra Magnus could use an update to at least make him poseable (his jetpack does him no favours), but on the whole the figures released at the time were spot on.

Let's finish G1 first, give it a few more years, then come out with RiD/AEC stuff. I can't see any major improvements being made with current tech over the original designs.

Plus, I still need Trailbreaker and Hoist :P
