He's a work-in-progress for a demolition-derby themed chaos element. I'll go further in-depth on his backstory later. Anyways, these pics are pre-bullet damage. I also further studied the patterns of body-repair at my school, and re-did the primer a little. The pics on the concrete are the older, with the dirt being the newer ones.

LED lights and unique character details will be done later. Now if only I could find where I placed his grille/headlights...

Don't worry - I got this. I've been wiring car-stereos for like six years now. Also, I'm going to a damn good tech school (Pennco) to build real cars. Lil cars r' easy. I'll post more pics as I update him. Front bullybar should be ready this weekend.

That is EASILY one of the best customs I've seen on here EVER. Tell me, what did you use to make the bulletholes? I'm working on a battle damaged Gundam kit and would love to do something like that as opposed to airbrushing the holes on.

I love him.
How about an airbag hanging off of the steering wheel? Also, a heated round metal impliment could put some quality dents in him.
Now this might sound crazy... but for the robot mode, how about an eyepatch?

Tom_Servo: I love your airbag idea. I wish Id've thought of that! In regards to Cybertooth's comment, I was thinking about about that, but in robot mode it would look...thinner on one side. What do y'all say about ousting the passenger seat and replacing it with two 25lb.(to scale!) wet-shots of nitrous? I'm gonna be busy this weekend! Bullybars, blown airbags, and fun-juice!

PS: My girlfriend suggested the eye-patch, too. I'm thinking about drilling out one of his eyes and making some wires hang out. Then I could have a metal eye-patch "welded" to removable helmet. If I can locate my old Terminator-2 endoskeleton, he's getting the head.

Glad I could help. If I could make one more suggestion... I think that you could loose that back window if you saw off the side pieces and glue them to the frame.
About the Terminator head: if you're talking about the Movie Maniacs one, I'm looking at mine, and it would make a great fit! Go for it.

Here's an update for ya! I scratch-built the push-bar here from model-sprues from an old SD Gundam kit. A couple dabs of model cement and coats of Testor's flat black enamel, here is Bodyshop with a pushbar! And a large stick. ^_^

Here's the robot mode with the big stick. I misplaced his custom rifle upstairs somewhere... I'll find it. I also did some touch-ups with the flat black. Most noticeably the awful white dashboard parts found on the Ricochet mold. I also painted the part that holds the roof onto the windshield black. It makes it look like a piece of structural reinforcement, if you ask me.

Have I mentioned I really love this concept? :grin:

The only "criticism" I have is the bonnet needs a bit of dirtying up. But otherwise, this is a bloody good job!

Burn: In regards to his bonnet (hood for us USA folks), it's "clean" for a reason. If you notice, the majority of the passenger-side of the vehicle has primer marks and sanding-spots. It's due to a state of constant-repair that Bodyshop finds himself in.

The flat black hood is basically how a gel-coated Subaru hood would come shipped from the factory. Imagine as if he just snapped it on a few hours back. Sometimes, depending on the pictures I'm taking, the hood will be dirty. But then it's actually real dirt, and not an effect. Glad ya like it, though!

i retract my first statement....... i love this thing!!!!!!! the brush guard/push bar brings it together.....

the face would look cool if you take a small flathead screwdriver and chip the yellow paint a little...... i did that for my alt divebomb and he looks cool

God this thing is badass. I only have three minor suggestions:

1. Maybe some more bulletholes on the hood, on the driver's side going in a stream all the way up to the windshield.

2. More scoring/gouges like you have on the front drivers side fender, maybe even make it look more like it's been sideswiped.

3. Here's my biggest change I'd make: This bot is so ^%$#^% cool it needs it's own original head. Either modify/beat the crap out of it or switch it out completely.

By the way, thanks for the tip on the bulletholes, my Battle damaged Gundam kit is coming out great!

I wish there was a Gundam model thread on here, lord knows I've built enough High, Master, and Perfect Grades. I seriously have an army of Master Grade kits.

Ya know... if you take pictures of the Master-Grade Gundams with a Masterpiece Transformers figure... then they're totally forum-worthy. Just...put em in cool poses. Yeah.
