That's one I fully expect to happen.

Saw the video and think the toy is worth buying. Think Peaugh should have shown how the 1980's cassettes-bots fit inside the cassette holder. Also would have liked Peaugh to do some size comparisons with HasTak MP Soundwave in both modes.
Since this if KFC where talking about here. I'm going to wait a month or Two, Till I buy this. So all of the mistakes can get fixed if their is any.

I don't believe this guy for a second when he says he has no figures for comparison handy. He gets free stuff. You mean to tell me he has 2 addresses and does his videos in a separate location from where he keeps his collection ? I think he was instructed not to outshine this crappy unpainted test shot with a beautiful MP soundwave. He's gonna do whatever they say to keep getting free stuff.
On the figure itself, that hollow bottom of the boom box looks horrible. Something that poor quality doesn't belong on the same shelf with official MP figures. I recommend ignoring this guys sales pitch and be patient for an official MP Blaster. After their success with Soundwave, I can imagine one coming after they finish Bumblebee and Ultra Magnus.

Jesus, you really have it in for Peaugh don't you?
Looking at the toy, I kinda dig it. It looks pretty accurate and the transformation is pretty clever. Don't really care about the hollow bottom- you're probably never going to look at it from the bottom of the boombox mode anyway. Also this is just a test-shot, so it's not fair to pass final judgement on it yet.
That said I have no interest in this as I don't collect MPs and "appliance" alt-modes annoy me.

I have nothing against Peaugh personally. I just have a problem with glorified YouTube commercials being passed off as “reviews”. It seems that most of these guys will say whatever they gotta say to keep getting free stuff from online retailers. It’s a joke. You never once see them tell you “the figure is a piece of crap, don’t buy it”. The reviewers I respect are the ones who aren’t afraid to badmouth a figure and admit they spent money on it. That’s why I like Baltmatrix and Benscollectibles. Even though they sometimes give plugs for the retailers, you can tell you’re getting an actual buyers opinion rather than a mouthpiece for hire.

I have heard that before. But Ill never forget the review for FP Rack n Ruin where the reviewer openly stated it arrived by surprise even though he bought one directly from FPCore. Wish I could remember which reviewer it was. If you watch a few of the vids youll probally find it. These guys get hooked up. TF Source, BBTS, and a few others believe giving away 4 0r 5 figures will help them sell hundreds more. It's a good business practice, but as consumers we get watered down information often sugarcoating the truth.

I see your point. But 75% of the time, I take a shot in the dark simply because I know what characters I want on my shelf. I usually don't watch reviews until I have the toy in hand, using the "review" as more of an online instruction manual. That's why I'm so adamant about the transformation being filmed in the mode it's packaged in rather than the so called "more dynamic" approach of alt mode to robot. That's just another sales pitch. I've only recently started watching reviews of figures I don't intend to buy since this 3rd party MP craze started. That's when I started noticing all the sales pitches. Before that, I would skip the box, articulation, and weapons storage and go straight to the transformation sequence with the figure in hand. Since they get them for free, I let them take one for the team and figure out the transformation and possibly break it. But that's just me. I personally got no beef with any reviewer. I just don't like how their opinions can be bought and their criticisms can be silenced with free stuff. They remind me of congressmen.

So every time we get a video review link here. Your going to attack, mock and question the credibility of the video reviewer?
This guy is being disruptive on purpose. Can a manager here please ask this guy to stop these video reviewers bashing replies. Every thread here is littered with this. he's typed over 100 replies on this.

To be fair he doesnt always gloss over the negatives of a figure, if I remember rightly he was one of the only reviewers I coud find that openly critisised Generations Springer for the crappy tabs that dont work on the car roof section.
Generally people buy what they like. I've seen Preaugh be critical. I think the whole "he's not being honest" is overhyped when it comes to reviews. It's entirely possible that people just have genuinely different tastes and also, you gotta remember that time adds a different dimension to things. Problems like gears grinding down don't happen right away, so problematic figures don't become problematic until they get a little older.
Anyhow, if you don't like reviews, just don't watch them.

But for the sake of my sanity (not that there's much left thanks to duragrip), don't "bash" the reviewers from now on RX.
No problem.
I just want everyone to be aware that the possibility of biases exists as long as they continue to receive the figures as free gifts. It's a good idea to take what they say with a grain of salt.
