It was the feet that got me as well, but I wouldn't say no to the shield being kept.

Literally the only thing I didn't like about Earthrise Inferno was the feet. I don't know if they'll keep or rework the battle sled/shield, but even if they don't, that should be a pretty nice figure. I don't know if that means I disagree or if "meh" is good enough for me.
I think ER iron hide was okay, true it had issues with the backend but for me as someone who displays in bot mode exclusively it's not that big an issue. I just needed his Bot mode to resemble G1 Ironhide and that's essentially what I got so I'm in no real need for a retool especially given the price I shelled out for it.
That said I am curious as to exactly what they might do to change/improve it, only thing is I feel this time around they'll try to put him into a Voyager price point which would almost be as much as what the MSRP for the 2-pk was.
I'm much more interested in G1 Hound over just about any of these rumored retools/reissues TBH because with him and hopefully a Sunstreaker reissue I'll be complete on my G1 focus. For the most part anyway.

Watched Emgo's review of Sludge last night, and.. I'm a bit disappointed. Don't know if I should cancel the pre-order or not.
Why would they give him rubbery wing hinges?
Why would they cut out a hinge for the toes to allow them to tuck into the obviously toe shaped void in his Dino belly?
Seems like a lot of corners were cut for this figure.... Decisions... decisions.... *sight*

That's not a reason to not buy it in my opinion. Does it display well in both modes? Yes. Does it have the articulation we've come to expect? Yes. Purchased.
If there was something like they went with a flimsier plastic or something I'd be more inclined to wait for reviews.

Agreed... I'm still more excited for this figure than any other. The only exception may be Legacy Menasor.
But I'm double-dipping on these Dinobots because they're so good.

My only complaint with the figure so far is size. But that's personal preference. I might watch a couple reviews from other reviewers (I think emgo sux), but I'm pretty much committed to buying Sludge, already having gotten Grimlock and Slag.

Size? For dino mode??
I was hoping it would be larger than Slag's, but, overall, imo this figure is not to be missed.

And I meant I was disappointed in the size of the robot mode. I know he is classified a leader, but I was hoping he would be slightly taller than Grimlock. Oh well, maybe I can manipulate the legs somehow.

Dino mode? May be a toss-up.
I will say the articulation for Sludge’s dino neck & head are really well done, & very much appreciated.

On a Ironghide and Racthet release:
ER Ironhide and Ratchet are a mess in vehicle mode. I have 3P mods fixing the feet, but it goes beyond that. Between the feet and shoulders sticking out it's like that alt. mode is too small for him On top of that Ironhide sports mismatching reds that's more apparent in vehicle mode and the art around the rear tires is obviously from the Siege mold. And I hate the half transparent and half red windows. AND the grey square right there on his chest.
Shield's fine. At least I can believe it as a shield.
I'd be annoyed if these new ones wind up being even better than what I had to shell out for the set, but I'd get them begrudgingly.

Bot mode he is definitely better. Dino mode he seems to be too. The neck articulation is awesome.
Slug to me was very boring. He was too cartoony, there is nothing interesting to look at in either mode, a stark contrast to Grimlock and from all accounts Sludge.
i hope these get retools into the FOC Dinobots. That team is my favorite team of dinobots, they were the most intimidating and tough looking

Such an idea would be perfect Selects (along with G2 colours edition).

I still think Slag is a really solid figure...
He has a couple issues, imo one of the biggest is the weapon storage in the tail.
I really don't give a sh!zz about storage for a weapon.
So for me, that was a really bad call.
But too cartoony? I don't see that.
The only way I think I could've seen that would have been if there was absolutely no extra details in the mold design and all of those large surface areas were completely flat.
I don't know if I even would've minded that.
I am really anxious to see SS86 Ironhide... But I can't think of what it would take for me to want to buy it...
I do hate that gray hinge in the middle of the chest. However, that being changed still wouldn't be enough.
I'm just hoping for a regular release of Ratchet.

Wasn't expecting Sludge to have so many issues whne for the most part theyve been selling voyagers as leaders they should have saved enough to give him full leader budget.
I was kind of half tempted to replace the potp with them but his dino size compared to slag isn't great and I'd want them for dino mode. I might just go for oversize ko potp for my movie shelf or maybe coonsider ss86 in bot mode and fanstoys in dino mode.

Justify ultra magnus, shockwave or Blitzwing by any logic hahaha think only baynus grindir/blackout and grimlock have been leader class in years.
Though shockwave is now selling at commander class price for a figure I felt ripped off paying £35 for.

Yep, which was actually being sold (maybe not actually selling) at leader prices by scalpers due to its availability.
The thing about prices and sizes kind of ended before it started, hasbro will charge whatever they feel like for anything of any size and the whole reason being profit. If stores choose not to or aren't able to stock stuff due to pricing they will just go back to stocking convertorzzzz and generic robots with the occasional kids line much like our walmart/asda did as well as other places.

Only I can decide if a price is worth paying for a specific bot, if I can justify it then I buy it if not I don't and I wait for the eventual sale price I'm willing to pay. And if it doesn't I simply don't ever have that bot. The new MSRPS may not be all that comfortable to me especially on certain figures but no one has me over a barrel.

Picked mine up off the shelves and a play to refresh the gray matter before answering and the answer is going to be... Drum rolls... No... but only because...
I'm pretty sure it was around £12-14 at full rrp which was cheaper than deluxes so I'd say a voyager sold cheaper than a deluxe price point.
In my own opinion, that jetfire is a great figure and worth picking up for the price of a voyager (£21 not the new price of voyagers, even if it's a good figure I will always try to be frugal). He's one of a few toys I would have paid more for. Especially rarer in a world where most toys I'd want to pay less for or feel like I'm getting less for my money.
