Combiner Wars Strika/Grand General Strika

Hello Ladies, Gents, and Respected Others! Started this project about a year ago, stalled for various reaons, finally picked her back up. Heads and chesplate from Shapeways. Still a long way to go, the alt-mode is a mock up at this point, will finish connecting everything with rare earth magnets soon. Lots of touch-ups and detailing yet paint-wise, but overall I am pleased so far. Thanks for stopping by!

looks good! though the combined mode chest is a bit barren. could've used some other colors to break up the sea of lavender.

Thanks! And no worries, paint is far from done! The sea of lavender was a necessity: I had to cover some mess-ups with accent colors. There will be orange and the bluish-silver reapplied soon!

How did you mod the altmode? I'm not going to lie I'm a bit confused about what I'm supposed to be looking at. It looks cool but I'm puzzled at how it was done.

I'm still sorting out the optimum placement for the magnets, and a few paint touch ups and she'll be finished. Soon, I hope. My job keeps me away from home 3 weeks out of every month, but as soon as time allows, she will be finished. Thanks for stopping by!

The combiner feet/hands are from a Perfect Effect Bruticus Upgrade set, and her cannons were bashed from Onslaught's and two junker Energon Inferno cannons. Her alt-mode is supposed to be a cybertronian battle tank. The sides of the tank are the combiner feet broken down, and attached to truck body. Two 5mm nylon washers were glued to the insides of her toe flaps, to provide ports to attach the rear guns, which are the combiner hands transformed. Hope that answers your questions. LOL... Everytime I think I have it figured out, the parts won't line up quite right! it's my first foray into rare earth magnets on a custom, so it's a learning process
