Its hard to say with just the info you gave me.......If you could put up some pic's or the box it came in and the toy itself it might help answer your question.

They need to reissue the Diaclone Convoy that would rule! I have a ? for anyone that might know, did the diaclone prime come with drivers? just wondering.
Most if not all of the Diaclone toys came with drivers....but wether or not Diaclone Convoy came with one I couldnt say......But I had Diaclone Dinobots and Insecticon when I was a kid and they came with pilots.Wish I still had them.

The toy itself is just the normal G1 toy with a bloated gun and painted shoulder insignias.

Diaclone dinobots! how sweet I would be happy to get my hands on the ancient animal ko's from the 80's those look awesome as well. I saw a diaclone spike and sparkplug on ebay yesterday I am tempted.

Diaclone is actually the predecessor of Transformers, so they're considered official products, not KOs. TF's were based on them. They're not TF's, but they are the real thing.

I would get Encore, just because it's way cheaper right now. It's nearly the same otherwise.

Encore Prime is great.
I sold my TRU reissue and wish I hadn't though.
You will be happy with either version but the Encore does have the Autobot symbol stamped on him so I would say the the TRU
version is more authentic but the fact that Encore roller
jets off Prime's trailer kicks all sorts o' a$$.

You could always get reprolabels or even stick on a spare Autobot symbol from another figure. I might do that, since I have a huge sheet of Bot & Con stickers I got free with my MP Megatron.

You are making me concerned about mine now. I want to open it to make sure it's okay.

I just noticed that Encore Prime actually COMES with the stickers so you can pu tthem on anyway.
Then, Roller is Silver which he was blue in the original release, and his blue is more cartoonish so I guess he is more authentic right?

If I'm right the first rollers were grey/silver but there were very few made.

I prefer the stamped insignia over a sticker. It seems pointless to debate over which reissue (Hasbro, Takara box style, or Takara Encore) is more authentic, because they are all not authentic anyway and each have minor variations.

Roller in the cartoon was gray and so is the roller that comes with the TRU Prime.

In the end you are right.
G1 Prime is awesome no matter which reissue you decide on.

Bingo.
If you want "authentic", why are you contemplating reissues? Me thinks you should pay the $200-300 for the original G1 Prime from 84-85. Then you will have an "authentic" one.

Agreed. It's a reissue, not the original. But you can enjoy it just like the original, which will probably be better.

At etoysjapan he sells the cheapest for 45 bucks. Are they any good? Cause I've been thinking of ordering from them sometime in the future.
