I made my last run today before the holiday. I went to Target and Walmart at the Coolidge and Maple area (Royal Oak & Troy).

Target has 1 WFC Soundwave and Cliffjumper, and 1 Thunderwing. They have marked Generations down to $8.49 for a short time. If you have your own reusable bag one item will cost $8.95 post discount and tax.

Walmart had 1 Soundwave.

I have not seen Blurr or the Dinobots anywhere. I looked for other stacks in Walmart and found nothing. Both stores seem to almost be picked clean but amazingly some of the cooler stuff is still there, like the above and Skullgrin (don't remember how many I saw, and I only remember seeing him at Target). If you want Elita-1 or Tuner Skids, now's the time to grab them. I did see Dirge (at Target, I think), but it's the original paint, so if you want the corrected :CON: I don't think you'll find it there until they restock. Maybe.

I get the feeling that like Nest Mindwipe, Generations Blurr will see mass shelving after we see the first wave or two of RTS. I don't know why that is, but I have confidence we will not miss out entirely, we just need to hit the right store at the right time or be patient and wait for those boxes to be shipped once holiday stocks are done.

Not surprisingly I still saw Tuner Mudflap at Walmart. If I liked the characters, and if they didn't have the faces they have, I'd pick up the Tuner Twins. But they are just plain old ugly, and outside of maybe getting the ice cream truck at some point to add Reprolabels, I have no interest. Yet I strangely did not mind them so much in ROTF, and I did laugh at them. Not with them, at them. And I don't think they are racist, nor are they meant to be. I think they are a poor attempt at Boondocks humor, with ugly faces. Now, if they had cool faces, and if the were the TF versions of Ed Wuncler III (voiced by Charlie Murphy) and Gin Rummy (voiced by Samuel L. Jackson), I think the characters would have worked, and the Tuner Twins would not be shelf warmers. I'd have preferred the real Autobot Twins (Sideswipe and Sunstreaker) in the movie, but these twins could have worked if done right, and a missed opportunity became the most hated product of the line because they take up space that prevents new characters from hitting shelves in many stores. :BANG_HEAD:

I did finally breakdown (yet again) and pick up WFC Soundwave and Thunderwing. If the redeco looks nice I may pick up TW's mold again. I just really wish it was voyager because then the nose drone would have been a Minicon and the arms would have been better incorporated into the fuselage. As is, I see a pair of Terradives and Thunderwings as my four seeker unit of Skyscorchers, even though that's not what they are. It's nice to have a good set of :CON:'s in the air to go up against the :BOT:'s on the ground. And to have Starscream lead the Coneheads with Acid Storm as a fifth deluxe Seeker is a nice touch, especially since each Conehead looks different.

I am happy now. :KREMZEEK:

just sitting around patiently (not!) waiting for the UPS guy to bring me my Protector armor. HURRY UP!

got my batttle in space set couple days ago. Hot rod is pretty forgetable but Cyclonus is fricken awesome! I love him in that purple. Even the upper legs and arms that were grey in the first one are tinted ever so slightly with purple. his face is painted silver so you can actually see the detail. if he had just a couple more contrasting paint apps he'd be perfect. the 2 tone purple is cool and all but theres just something missing. also his target master looks 100% better with the silver paint.

Canton Meijer had 3 Battle In Space sets. I picked up 2. The 3rd one is still there, but the paint on Hot Rod's face is terrible. I was surprised that I found them. I saw someone posted on TFW that they found 1 at the Auburn Hills Meijer, so I thought I'd go out and take a look. Nothing at the Westland Meijer.

Merry Christmas Michigan Seibertronians! Hope you all have a great day.

My big question of the day is.. Chrome or Orange? I'm trying to figure out which figure to use with the Protector Armor.

The armor comes with orange spoilers. Sidearm comes with gold chrome spoilers for Henkei Rodimus.

Livonia Target had one Thunderwing and one Skullgrin. Also found the new DC Action League figures there.

If anyone's still looking for Masterpiece Grimlock, the TRU by Lakeside Mall (Schoenherr and Hall Rd.) had at least two when I was in there yesterday. I remember they had a bunch of them a month or so back, then they seemed to vanish around the time of Black Friday, so I don't know if they just moved them to the back or had more or what, but they were back on the shelves. Still full price, but there's a buy 2 get 1 free sale on TF's going on this week.

This is the one near the mall, not the TRU Express inside the mall.

Nothing of the new lines to report, but I picked up a very nice Trypticon for a great price this week!! It is in fantastic shape, but only has the helipads right now. If anyone has or knows anyone with some of the accessories, please let me know!

Found the Battle in Space set at Livonia Target today. Now I have no excuse not to buy the Protector Armor with two Rodimi. Todd (or anyone else who has it), do the Protector Armor colors better match the old or new Rodimus?

Also saw Blurr, Red Alert, Dirge, Cliffjumper, Skullgrin, and Thunderwing (one each) at Livonia Walmart North today.

they definitely match better with classics or Henkei. the battle in space rodimus is way too bright of a red to match the armor.

Is the paint on Rodimus really an issue as some have made it out to be? Even though I have Classics Rodimus and 2.0 Cyclonus I've always regretted not getting a second Hot Rod because mine came with a slightly stressed shoulder joint, though I've never had a problem with it. And Cyclonus looks really nice in his cartoon colors. If the Hot Rod paint thing is not an issue then the matrix may make this set worthwhile to me, especially since I'll probably leave it in its box or make a swap and use the box to store the versions I want to put away.

He looks decent in robot form. Car form is pretty ugly though. Mostly because of the windshield. The original release was much better overall.
