These actually look pretty nice. I'll ptobably pick up Barricade to decide if I want the others.
And SuperGinrai? I think one of the unspoken sins of the Action Masters is that they were the main line, rather than a side line... They were at the end, and all there was, so it looked like they killed the line.

As a strong supporter of revoltech, which these somewhat mirror. I will be picking up at least Prime and Barricade. I like all of them shown except Megs. Hes just hideous

I'm kinda intrested in these to be honest. They look pretty cool.
It has begun, let the parts fall from the sky.

I want Megatron. And that's only because the transforming versions look like ****. At least with this I can forgo the "jet" mode and just have a badass robot mode. Maybe I'll have him swinging around Jazz.

I wish you hadn't compared these figures to Sigma Six. I hate those figures.

Not that these figures weren't already ruined for me just by being non-transforming Transformers. Maybe Megatron's an exception, since at the moment I agree with Nightwatcher about how bad the transforming Megatrons are.....beyond that, eew.

My vote for the HOF goes to my favorite Transformer, Kup, to the Headmasters (who still need new figures that aren't just the characters without their master components) and to seibertron.com for for being the ultimate TF resource.

My issue with these toys is that they really arent that good when you compare them to the not really all that good robo modes in the real TF versions. Revoltech OP and megs are super cool and not just cos they are gen 1, they are really nice figures but these are so lacking. I like a few of the movie toys (jazz, ironhide, barricade is OK) but at least the movie toys do one thing well, they transforms from quite detailed organic(ish)looking bots into vehicles that for the most part are very well hidden in the robo mode, i just dont see the point in these. well as long as kids like them.

Meh, no thanks. Gonna pass on these.

From ToplessRobot.com:• "Watching Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is marginally better than sh***ing your pants, but it takes a lot longer." Very well put.

Pass on these, the movie robot designs are not strong enough to warrant a purchase. Their only saving grace is their alt modes, and since these figures will not have them, then I will not buy them.
Since they do not transform, you would think they would have gone with extra detailing or something to make up for it.

Awesomesauce; Use it, you know you want to.

I must be one of the few who will quite merrily buy a non transforming transformer... I love the figs

Because it's an IP about alien robots that transform. Dosen't mean every toy has to, also. It's not like there aren't any other versions of these toys that don't transform. Hell, it seems like they're planning on making every movie character in at least the deluxe & voyager classes.Spooner wrote:Clijsen wrote:I am going to pass those...
I like my Transformers to be able to transform... if you don't mind!
Yeah...what's the point of calling them Transformers if they don't?
Anyway, yeah, these look pretty nice. I might have to pick a couple up. I'm pretty sure my completist days are over, due to so many movie-based toy lines & so on, but I'm planning on at least getting one figure from each line.
One interesting thing about having so many toys.....sure they may all be shelfwarmers, but there's going to be so many even 6 months from now there's going to be stuff you haven't got yet.

Thank you for spelling it out so well!

It's not like these are a mainstream line (as Actionmasters were), they're just supplimental merchandise for the main movie line, which contains the transformable versions of the characters being produced here. I wouldn't even consider these as part of
"owning the entire set of movie toys." I like 'em and will likely pick them up, if priced right.

Actionmasters-Mega Disasters.
Okay I liked the Action-Masters, since it gave me the chance of getting TFs I would never be able to get like Shockwave and Jazz. These look nice, the Prime one looks great, so it could be a worth a purchase.

Bugbite wrote:I wish Hasbro would use their resources to put out something from the movie that won't be sitting on shelves in December. Things already look bad for the movie toys, my TRU has almost a half an aisle of Protoforms (for the last 3 weeks). Will that change by the time the movie comes out?
I'll get back to you.
Same story here. The protoforms will be the 1st stringer shelf warmers of the movie, no doubt about it.
I got Prime and SS the moment I saw them about a week and a half ago, and let me say honestly--they are the worst, most boring f%^$*(& TFs I have ever owned.
A total waste of $20.
Oh, nevermind. I just remembered I bought Titanium Soundwave.
Now that figure is the biggest waste of money ever. But those protoforms are in for a close 2 and 3!!!
But yeah, TFs that don't transform?

UPDATE: TFW2005 has reported that theses non-TFing figures have revoltech-like, if not licenced, joints. Click here to see the pics and read about it.
