Animated StarScream
I've been seeing alot of pics of this figure floating around lately.
Overall, he doen't look sturdy, but he doesn't look bad. That is except for his god awful head.
I know it's show acurate, and people like and don't like the designs in this series and so on and so forth...
I don't care about any of that in this thread.
I do ask, does anyone know how his head is attached, rived, screw, ball-joint, as it's gotta go!?!
And to add a little flavor to the topic, what would YOU replace that head with?

I REALLY wish I had a second Armada Starscream, that'd be absolutely perfect for this figure's head. Sadly, I only have one (and they're pretty expensive on Ebay...). I'd also repaint it to G1 colors while I'm at it. I doubt I'll ever get around to doing either though.
Other than the ugly head and Thundercracker colors, the figure is awesome. Hopefully Hasbro will release a G1 accurate figure for us old school collectors.

I like him just fine. I DO like Armada Starscream's head better (along with a few others), I am okay with what he looks like.

When it comes to StarScream, I find if it's not the first version, a G1 redeco is always on the horizon.
Still, that is one goofy head on a otherwise badass figure!
What I fear though is the legs will suffer from the same syndrom as the Megatron Megabolt figure.

I loves this figure, and I hope we get a Skywarp version, although he would be best to having a jerky grin instead of Starscreams smirk!
Awesomesauce; Use it, you know you want to.

I wonder if Armada Red Alert's head would fit? The visor on that head may compliment the bot nicely
(plus I have an extra)

I think the figure looks pretty good, and I'm okay with the chin. It suits his personality. Just out of curiosity, I wanted to see what it'd look like with a few changes. My post from the other Starscream thread:
some quick photoshoppery.
With most of chin cut off:

With classics head:

The first one, the head sort of wound up not looking robot enough. Looks more like Batman or something. The classics head, I'm not sure if that's to scale. This mod may or may not work out for real, since the new figure's a voyager, and the classic's a deluxe.

Totally pwns with a regular bot head. I'm sorry, that actual animated head looks like something out of a cartoon. Now, I know that Transformers is a cartoon, but! Transformers is a bad@$$ cartoon, one you would want your children to watch so they can learn the meaning of good, old non-serious violence. Not a cartoon cartoon.
Transformers is no cartoon for the whole cartoon effect of eyeballs that burst out of the head during moments of surprise. Beast wars pulled it off, occasionally, like in the episode of Code of Hero right before Dinobot died, when he samashed both fist into Quickstrike's head.
Anyways...

Can't agree more, it would be like Cenobytes teaching sharing on Romper Room.
But, thats not what this thread is about.
When we find that thread, I'll join you with all the fodder I have on this issue, till then, how would you make this figure better?

It looks like someone melted down the top of the head, the proportion is off. Plus that stupid smile.

I would think it'd have a cannon that fired swords.
With sharks tied to the swords,
And tied to each of the shark's teeth is a lit M80.

wouldn't this whole thread be better in the kitbash forum?
since it's about "improving" starscream's head?

OMG! I just had a thought! What if Starscream could shoot zombified ninja pirates out his chin!? That'd be so awesome!!!

But if so, would there be a place to store it on the bot?
Also, I realy like that the jets canopy alone forms the midsection, as apose to more recent StarScreams that have had the front of the jet form the torso and waste of the bot. I always saw that as a cop out in figures that where actualy trying to tip a nod to the origional.
Dam the head on this otherwise intresting looking figure
