Harking back to the original Transformers series. Who do you think would make the better leader of the Decepticons, Megatron or Starscream?

I personally think that Starscream would have made the better leader, he was not as egotistical as Megatron and he would not have rushed in where angels fear to tread, He would have been able to finish the job and deal a significant, if not fatal blow to the Autobots.

I'm keen to find out what you guys think and why.

I really like Starscream but he is nowhere near the leader Megatron was. Megatron was feared and/or respected by all the other decepticons, had a keener tactical mind than Starscream, and was actually a pretty good fighter.

Starscream was the most egotistical of all the cons and every time he had command he ordered a retreat. Not that I don't love Starscream but I have to give it to megs.

Megatron. Although his plans always failed miserably in the nd, at least he had plans. Starscream just had one plan: to take over as Leader of the Decepticons. Other than that, as we can clearly seein TF:TM, Starscream gets destroyed too easily. Megatron can take hit or two. Or twenty.

To say the least, starscream is, well, a sissy. Megatron always had the upper hand, and always knew his next move. Not to mention SS couldn't manage all his seeker twins, but, that's Hasbro's fault. But, if I had to pick someone above megs, It'd be shockwave. He could control the cons with an iron fist, if he had half a brain. Remember the G1 comics?

Megatron wins this one. For one thing, I think he cared for his con's in his own way, while Starscream was just out for number 1.
