David Bowie died peacefully today surrounded by his family after a courageous 18 month battle with cancer. While many of you will share in this loss, we ask that you respect the family’s privacy during their time of grief.

I was gutted to hear of his passing. Station to Station, Low and Heroes are some of my favorite albums of all time.

And his version of "Wild is the Wind" is hauntingly beautiful.

I hate cancer.

A few days has passed and I've been moved by all the tributes I've seen to him. I even saw nasa's tribute to hi mm when they named an asteroid after him and revealed true pictures of the spiders on Mars. For me, I'll always remember him as Jareth the goblin king from labyrinth as that was my first introduction to him.

I doubt these words will make it to his family but my thoughts are with you and I wish you the best in this hard time. So long starman, now you are waiting in the sky.
