Guys, Dead Metal hit the reply pretty well (and he's a moderator), that's all that needed to be said, page two of this thread is currently nothing to do with Grims art, so how about we all stop derailing yet another of Grims threads. You wanna chat randomly about stuff go to an off-topic forum.

Any more pointless posts about how noobish someone's being and I will consider reporting.

Grim's basically offering free commissions, he's drawing stuff for us specifically, not just asking for random lists of ideas. If he wanted to just draw I'm sure he's pleanty capable of thinking his own stuff, he's just doing us a service and has been for a while.
I know you're new and because of this, personally, I didn't have an issue with your post.

Metal did seem to come across too harsh, and Soundmaster was also very rude. But Metal has a good point, seemingly random long lists like that do look like spambot posts, which we do get around here, so it's best not to make such long posts for future reference.

I'm actually quite sad to see this thread go so quickly off-topic, being a huge follower of Grims previous thread, so I'm just going to address everyone involved quickly and try to get BACK on topic.

Geminii I'm sorry you've come across an issue like this so early in your time here. I hope this doesn't put you off following Grims work or coming back to the Fanart forum, we're actually quite nice people, if you'd believe it. Just try to avoid posting posts that look like a) random "General Discussion" forum games, or b) spambot posts.

Metal Maybe you were having a bad day or something but in my opinion you overreacted, however I can see why. Try to go easy on newer users? Not my place to say it I know but just trying to avoid this in future.

Soundmaster Dude, no need to be rude. Half the time your posts still come out a little noobish so don't go round hitting other people for it.

Grim I don't know why, but people seem to think artists spend all their time drawing. People keep posting ideas, even when their first ideas haven't even been covered. I don't know about you, but I've been working on a Beast Wars comic for a good few months now, and I've only got 5 pages sketched, I've barely even thought about inking them yet. I hope you're able to spend the little time drawing that you have creating the good ideas and are able tell people you can't do all of their ideas. I can't begin to think how snowed under you got with requests on the last thread.

And finally myself Dude, stop being so high and mighty... Why can't you just let the thread get covered with random comments thrown at each other about people being noobish and why people's ideas haven't been drawn. Stop trying to play God, or more precisely Mod.



Aaaaaaand to wrap it all up, I hope that's this current discussion over, and Grim, how has the drawing been going lately? Got anything new to post?

There is nothing wrong with a long post or a list but it looked like that stupid game people play on wikis how many clicks they need to get to the "Hitler" article. And as said in the first post and again in Justi's post this thread is here so you can give him an idea to draw your own fan character.

So if you have a ruff idea of what your own Transformers looks like post the description here and he'll draw it for you.

Now lets get back on topic.

Fair enough. It may be a result of having seen too many threads which were the exact opposite - people just asking for random sketch ideas and being drowned in 'OMG DUDE DRAW MY KOOL CHARACTER PLZ PLZ'. I've found it a rare thing that someone actually requests fancharacters to draw. On the flip side, I'm not familiar with Grim's history (or that of the Seibertron boards), so maybe that's more common here and I totally jumped to the wrong assumption.

It's actually pretty cool, too - there's usually an enormous demand for fancharacter renditions and not that many artists who are willing to draw them and aren't yet completely burned out from requests.

That said, and getting back on topic, I do have a couple of (dozen) characters lying around. I'll have to see if I have useful enough descriptions of them for artistic purposes. I suppose that after putting my foot in my mouth, I should at least ask if the artist has any preferences - are repaint characters easier, are completely new designs more exciting, that kind of thing. I've often wondered if it's more satisfying to draw characters who have never been rendered before, or easier to work with appearances which have existing depictions, for instance.

Oh, and Grim - would this be with altmodes? Some of my characters have more of their design chops in their alts than their bots, so if it's robot mode only I'd be better off submitting different choices.

My brother keeps telling that it should, but don't listen.) and has my avatar as a head, holding an energy saber and HUGE gatling gun. His name is Ironclaw. Sorry it's such a big request but I have never had a professional picture done of this bot

Now, his altmode is actually that of armada starscream without a sword, but with the G1 null rays on the arms. Also, his color scheme is pretty much a black fuelsalage with red details. His forarms are red, his hands are black, and he has tigerstriped wings (red and black). His cockpit is red also (whatever goes the best). His legs are black with red details, his tail fins are red also. If you can get it detailed enough, can you put 6 gold diamonds over a decepticon insignia on his chest? It denotes his rank. Also, on the wings, if possible can you make 2 flaming swords crossed behind the decepticon insignia (his units symbol).

His eyes are red and if possible, can you make them glowing and having sparks of red electricity? The rest of his face is the facial features are of armada skywarp.

I've had like 4 or 5 different transformation types run through my head but haven't been able to come up with one I like. I also want to see what someone with some talent can do.

Hwy, I'm always thinking that G2 Dreadwind looks a bit like Cyb. Crumplezone, so seeing as Smokescreen is also with him maybe modify Dreadwind and Smokescreen to look like Ransack and Crumplezone and then have them staring at a normal G2 Dreadwind and Smokescreen like they were looking into a mirror. Then Ransack says "Hey...uh.. Crumplezone?... Do these guys look familiar to you?"
