Transformers and TV went perfect together till about the year 2000, then although still present, the shows faultered in quality.
I believe it was around here that maybe Vector Sigma put the idea of film into the ideas of many to restore some much needed YF violence.
Now, I'm intrested in seeing where that path leads!

Beast Wars was the highlight of all the Transformers series. It had the best overall plot, the best connections to the original series, the best characters, and the best writing. I feel almost sad for the other series that have to compete with that series.

YES.
Beast Wars was THE best TF series with it's plot, character development, and actual character death. I wish all TF series could be done like the beast era.

Yeah Beast wars is the best since G1. Beast Machines was ok but not as good as BW. RID had good looking bots but the story sucked. The rest just plan suck. We got some good toys but thats it.

Apparently I am the only one who actually liked Transformers:Cybertron.
Sure there are some filler episodes but from this series we got:
1. Expands on the idea that there are TFers from all over the universe and not unique to Cybertron
2. Seeing the best Starscream ever in any series - He actually was incredibly smart and not just book smart like his G1 counterpart. He had a plan to take over the Decepticons and his plan went rather well.
3. You saw Primus. I actually held back tears when I saw the Autobots and Vector Prime activate Primus for the first time. That was the coolest thing I have seen on TV in a while.
4. The Cybertron line was far superior to any of the other lines and yes including G1. Yes, G1 Optimus is the end all to be all but lest we forget Ironhide and Ratchet? Couldn't move elbows and arms and knees? Wow. One G1 Optimus does not make up for the suckassness of the rest of the G1 toyline. The Cybertron line is superior in quality, BEING ABLE TO STAND BY THEMSELVES, durability (being able to crash robots into each other and not have limbs permenantly broken nor paint chipping = winz!) and incredible points of articulation.

(sigh) Here goes:
1) If I remember correctly, the Transformers ALL came from Cybertron, they just settled on other worlds.
2) Starscream was ALWAYS smart, he was just a coward.
3) We've seen Primus before. Remember in the comics? When he was the head inside of Cybertron? When he was a badass vengeful god? No, I guess not.
4) What the hell are you talking about? How can you compare Cybertron figures to Generation 1 figures? There were a hell of a lot of advancements in the 20 years between them. That's like comparing a Model T to a modern F1 car.
Cybertron was not that great of a TV show. The stories were weak, the acting and writing were terrible, the characters couldn't emote. Yes, the toy line was pretty damn good, though.

Ages 25 & Up, comics with ball joints of steel. Updated Mondays.
Classics Prime and Cybertron Armorhide are the Bad Mother Truckers
