No More Blackout?
It seems that with all the recent restocks, I only read about voyager megatron, ratchet, ironhide, and some others, but never blackout
Does anyone know if they stopped producing blackout?

Found one a week ago at my local walmart..They recieved 6 cases of Voyagers...Look through all cases but only found 1 Blackout.. needed it to complete my movie Collection. So BLackout is still being produced. I heard he is a chase figure now..But I dont think hes rare..

Id have to agree with MOONBASE2 the figure is terrible..too small for a voyager..Not that much detail. Too much money for what I bought..Kinda feel like I got ripped off.

He's so awful that he doesn't even sit in my collection. I don't even think he has all of his blades on. So cheap. I'm glad I didn't pay for him and got him for my birthday.

yeah, Blackout is very rare. in the whole 2 month of getting my movie collection, I have only seen him once, there were two and I grabbed one.
I find it so strange, because his not popular and it doesn't seem that difficult to produce him.

I ordered him (and movie Ironhide) Friday morning off of Walmart.com

So yes... both Blackout and Ironhide are still out there... but sporadically.

oh man, i didn't realize there was so much hate for this guy. I've heard there was some bad qc for him, but is really that bad other than the qc and scaling? I've heard some good things about him.
I'm not the one who wants him though, i usually stick to deluxes, i like their size best. My friend wants him because he has a decent color scheme and a bigbutt weapon. haha

Same here. I got him in a little craft pale with Scorpy and Bonecrusher. It's my reject tote.
Scale sucks yes, QC isn't that great, but it's his actual design that's just so crappy. His "automorph" is a giant pain in the ass. Mine had to be fixed straight out of the box, and even then it still sucks. He'd have been much better design wise if that crap had been left out. And his backpack takes up too much of him and does too little.

Totally. That toy isn't worthy of the real robot. That big helicopter peice hanging off his back? WTF?

typical drivel stated as fact. hasbro are not going to make any more leader class figures since big figures have worse figures than smaller figures down to cost, and a parent, who is going to be the majority buyer here as the one forking out the money is going to try to persuade the kid to choose a voyager or dx figure instead.
and if you want blackout, feel free to pay what is effectively $40 bucks for one of the 50 gazbillion clogging shelves here in the uk.

Aside from the automorph my main problem with this figure is the shoulders. I can't see a kid playing with this toy in robot mode, it's not sturdy. As far as looks go blackout probably does better with the cybertron crowd rather than the movie crowd. His upper legs especially are a bit more squared like cybertron figures, not having the metal wrapping detail that most movie figures have. The figure isn't awful in terms of looks, but in design it's a dud. They were clogging pegs before and even after the movie came out. They didn't move until Transformers were selling out and not restocking, and even then I'd see a ratchet or blackout.

I love Blackout. Granted, I keep him in his alt mode, but that's just because I like the Pave Low. It's a pretty sweet helicopter. Anyway, I ordered mine from Hasbro when he was still avalible.

no i dont think there done with leaders it was presented a while back that there would be a starscram and voyager bonecrusher.hasbro knows the responce there gonna get with the not so great voyager blackout thats why if they where smart hold out for a leader blackout.if one of the execs stated there going to make another leader starscream it was probably to focus attention away from the big suprise the leader blackout.there still making molds as of this point.and if they made a leader blackout witch they will alot of people would fork out there money for it.
