This is awesome. =P~

Even with all the paint and plastic issues, I am an unabashed fan of this mold. The design, silhouette, and overall look of this guy (in bot mode, at least) leaves me with an excellent, properly voyager-sized Decepticon triple-changing thug. All with that modern Classics look. For that, I am eternally grateful to HasTak.

This kit is icing on the cake. A head that's more anime-styled (sleek, without the big cheeks) and small enough to fix the nosecone issue, shoulder-fixes without having to compromise the integrity of the toy (if customizing isn't your strong suit), and a larger gun/missiles make this an insta-buy.

Looks great to me! Most of my Transformers are displayed, but I also love to fiddle with them. I can't really do that with Blitzwing because of the shoulders. And for the most part, I dare not try to fix it myself.

I'll buy this, but only if they make a set for the Takara version as that's the only version of Blitzwing I'm getting.

There was ever so briefly a duplicate thread yesterday or the day before. It's fallen down the page pretty quickly.

On the pics, while I wasn't really that interested initially, the nosecone/head fix alone has decided this for me. I like the tri-face gimmick, but I also like the plane mode. I bit. Now, gimme!

That's a big reason why I ordered it. The new head and gun look great, too.

I think the earlier pics might have just been a lighting/display thing. Most of the purple things I need to take pictures of end up looking more blue than in real life.

This is one of the reasons I haven't even removed mine from his box/transformed him yet! Outside of my personal space constraints, I wanted to wait awhile to see if any fixes or 3rd Party kits would be announced. Also, to see if I would be picking up Takara's Blitzwing.

Oh, damn, that sucks. Thanks for the warning. I keep mine in robot mode. I'm waiting for the kit before I really start playing with him. Now even more so.

That looks so much better without the bulbous head. Just wondering, once you remove the Hasbro head there's no turning back right ?

There are screws in the back of Blitzwing's head - I was under the assumption that you could remove it without damaging it. I could be wrong.

It's been in stock at TFsource for a while.

It's in the same order as Dr. Wu's Springer set & MMC's Leo Dux, so I won't be getting it for another few weeks.

I am sorely disappointed in this set. The colors are the more bluish/lavender purple that more closely matches the blade of the sword than the anything else. The gun is very cheap feeling, and the shoulder fix needs to be removed to transform the figure. Since I pretty well fixed the shoulders with a heat gun, I really didn't need the fix. For those who have shoulder problems and don't want to disassemble or risk using a heat gun, the fix will definitely help in bot mode.

I'll try to take some pics this weekend.
