So, I decoded Apeface's UV writing and it's... Turboworm? I admit, I'm not exactly the most knowledgable when it comes to G1, but "turboworm" seems very random

Binary-bonded to the nervous, insecure Nebulan Spasma. In jet Mode, maximum speed: 3250mph, emits powerful jamming frequencies. In ape Mode, has super-agility. In robot Mode, carries electro-shield and semi-automatic sonic boomer gun.

Calling it right now though, Spinister's code will be Scavenger(s), Crosshairs' will be his Targetmaster's name (...Pinpointer? I can't keep track of them), and Astrotrain's will be Astroforce.

A few of us should have our Apeface in hand as I know a bunch of peeps hit that Amazon listing at the same time. Mine just showed up and this is quite the update from the original! I've yet to transform him but just look at that beauty. He feels incredibly solid, has a weight to it. Feels heavier than my Takara Legends Octane.

Thanks everyone for the Apeface Amazon heads up. I also canceled my Pulse one and ordered Apeface at 24.99 and Mirage for 17.99. Saving me almost 10$. I have been wanting/hoping for an updated Apeface for decades. He was one of my fav figures as a kid.

Sadly, this is correct. It appears to be a translucent blue plastic that was painted. Both the gun, which is solid black plastic, and the shield's posts are pretty snug in the 5mm ports.

I must have lucked out when it comes to shield QC then because the shield's post is fairly okay, but my figure's gun only really pegs in securely to the hand. Every other port it's too loose of a connection for it to stay.

Actually, I think it would be cheeky of Hasbro if Crosshair's secret message was "Trenchfoot," which would pretty much confirm that the Battle Master that came with the Autobot Alphastrike Counterforce set from Amazon is supposed to be G1 Pinpointer.

I got Apeface in the mail today, and as I opened him I noticed he had a complete ape head on his back, where Spasma would fit--but he already had his robot-mode head in place. Once I double-checked, I realized they packed TWO Spasma's in with Apeface. Why would he already have another Titan Master head packed into his ape head?

That happened with PotP Metalhawk and Cloudburst: some had two Prime Masters with one occupying the shell. Simple factory errors, really.

I'd love it if we saw a version painted like the Diaclone version with the blue sides. I always preferred that color scheme. Though, I have no idea if that could even happen. Silverstreak could definitely be a possibility for Generation SELECTS though
