Why I have a problem with this is that ONE) it is still (traditionally) way too early for images of con specials to be leaked now. TWO) The mechs were shown at the last convention as part of the upcoming regular releases by Hasbro, not part of the Club specials from Fun Pub.
But Time will tell.
as far as sales wise who knows, I can only judge things from my perspective: Here in Canada we didn't get even half of the 25th releases, and many figures and especially vehicles had to be ordered online or thru stores with Diamond accounts, either way expect mark-ups. That said the figures mostly moved when stores had them but the only vehicles we saw HISS Tank and the Armadillo Tank vs. Serpentor's Air Chariot) became shelf warmers, as there were just too many out there. The comic packs either sold out or shelf warmed depending on box allotments. Hell I likely could go out and within 3 hours still find a Wild Bill/Scrap Iron, Snake Eyes/Hard Master pack without trying hard.
But for the Movie we've seen almost everything, and in most cases they have sold thru most of it, with a few case fillers taking longer but moving in sales.
That's exactly what happened in my case. I never saw 25th figures except for a few troop builders and the last few waves. What you said about the comic packs is 100% exactly what happened to me. Movie figures? All over, keep in mind I'm only buying the ones I want and not complete waves like the 25th figures.
Perhaps Hasbro is going back to a DTC line that will be intergrated with the Club, online only building off or towards a convention story?
