To Dark Zarak:
Thanx man.
You are correct, the institution of Islam came after. I was more or less referring to the split with Judaism, since both agree on their roots, they just disagree with witch son of Abraham was cast out, they each feel that it was the other.

Can I just add that King Arthur never took part in, or authorised, any crusades, and that Arthur was a 5th Century Romano-Celt or Romano-Briton who was knocking around long before the First Crusade in 1095.

doesn't that technically make me the original rebirth deity?
No-- Egyptian and Hidu/Buddhist bot predate you.
i thought buddha lived around the 400 BC, Tammuz was on the babylonian king lists almost 2 millenia before that, and can go toe to toe with the vedic religions, both Sumerian and Vedic can trace origins to around 5000BC.
and to add to Killtronbot's statment, we're not even sure that he existed at all, but if he did it would have been as killtron says. he's a mythical figure.

I'm pretty sure it's the same God. Judaism, Islam, and Christianity have the same God. Same story of creation.
Islam split from Judaism becuase they thought each other was the outcast son of Abraham.
Christinaity split from Judaism because Christians think the Mesiah has come and gone. aka Jesus.
