Yes! Yes! This is the best thing ever since Transformers: Robots in Disguise Brave Maximus (I know many may argue). A must have toy for me!!!

I'm sorry but this has to be the most ridiculous statement of all Seibertron history.

Wow. So many Bumblebees and two different figures representing the same character, this is madness!!!!! Oh wait, it's a movie year. I've always liked that Terrorsaur mold so I'll grab that and the Prime Grimlock set. I'll have to see about the others. Any idea on release dates? I doubt these are wave one sets.

So, four Legion singles, two Scout/Legion 2-packs, one Deluxe/Legion 2-pack, and one Legion/Legion/Deluxe 3-pack.

In the long run, the movie lines have proven to be my favorite ones. The random repaints only make them better.
Kind of a shame that SG Terrorsaur is colored like Lazerbeak/Hydra. This coloration would have made a lot more sense.

I always assume when they say a mold is "lost" they're talking about the production molds, the master ones that are huge and expensive to make are probably to difficult to destroy/loose. When a company like Hasbro says a mold is lost they probably mean that it's not cost effective to make a new production mold, unless it's a movie year and they have money to burn.

Re: Official Age of Extinction Products Discussion Thread
Wow! For one brief instant I was actually tempted by that Doomlock repaint. Buuuuttt... that instant passed, I'm over it now. Already have Doom and Cruellock, don't need another variation. So I guess that still leaves me firmly entrenched in the camp with those who think these are just a bunch of cheap, lazy repaints. Not the slightest bit impressed with the fact that Hasbro not only relies on this action but that they are actually increasing the frequency of it by a HUGE factor.
Come on Hasbro, step up your game. You still have only one potential sale off me from the entire movie line so far. I'm waiting to be impressed and the toy equivalent of reruns is not the way to make that happen.

I'm very torn on the repurposing of these molds for AOE characters. One moment I love it, the next I want to shove these toys off a cliff. Hm.

I just realised something: Why use E-Cruel-Lock for Grimlock, and not BW Dinobot like his G1 ancestor once did (possibly twice?).

Because Cruel-Lock looks more like a dragon/tyranosaur which is what the film is aiming for while BW Dinobot is a raptor and would probably serve better for Slash.
Also, I might be wrong but these are scout class only right? Since BW Dinobot was deluxe, it would not work. At that point, they could just reissue BW Megatron for a Leader Grimlock.
What I am most curious about, however, is if the Slug triceratops mold will retain the Dead Mode from the original Beast Wars Neo mold. It was the most clever extra feature from all the other BWN dinobots.

So why was the headline: "Age of Extinction Legion and Scout Class Revealed"?
Also, since it's a deluxe calss and appears in the following list of two packs...:
Dinobot Strafe with Bumblebee (RotF Legends mold)
Dinobot Slug with Stinger (RotF Legends Sideways mold)
Grimlock with Optimus Prime (RotF Legends mold)
... that means that they will be charging the same amount for a deluxe as a scout?

Trying to apply class labels to new lines is going to lead to massive headaches!

These are, for this line, the Scout and Legion class. Until we get more news that this statement is also incorrect.

Wow, another mishmash of molds and accessories  Ok, let's see...
Optimus Prime Smash & Change with what looks like the Leader's sword?
Grimlock & Optimus Prime FoC and DotM Deluxe mold respectively, with G1 Rampage's sword.
Construct-Bots Grimlock with... aborted G2 colors? Weird.

I am seriously questionning if it was this much all over the place at the last film since I really cant remember. All I remember of past films was certain lines being reworked as movie lines (Real Gear) and the rerelease of Energon molds.
Anyways, the part I dont get about some of these are the younger audience figures that arent fully coloured (quick change and titan). If you have the non exclusive full coloured ones on the shelf, what kind of kid would want a grayed out Grimlock or Optimus?!
