That is what I mean Saber that all Transformers have a back story to them either in comic form or being on a past show such as G1 or comics such as G2 was or toy lines.
The thing is trying to find a way to introduce them into Prime that will fit in with the current storylines.
Sort of like how the WWE does they dont bring in new wrestlers or past ones on a whim they only bring them in or back if they fit in with current storylines or for a fued.
Things arent just dont on a whim they have to be builded up then brought in.
In the WWE we get Viral Videos such as the Y2J return deal or the deal with Lord Tensei.
In Transformers it usualy has to be part of a storyline such as G1 with Superion and stuff they were brought in as part of the storyline not on a whim.
Also War for Cybertron isnt connected to Prime as it is in its own Universe and really isnt connected to anything if anything it is a Re-Telling or a Reboot of Generation 1.
Anyway I am watching Prime tonight guess I will go back and kill somet time with my 3 new games Xenoblade, Witcher and Tales of Graces.
Fixing to get my Vita it would be so awesome to have FOC on the Vita.

According to Hasbro, Prime, WfC, FoC, and the two novels are all part of the same universe, the Aligned Continuity.

If that actually convinces him to stop making walls of text that are so heavily off topic, you, BP, are officially on the Cool Kids list.

I dont think its possible to convince him, he's probably foreign, as he's 31, so it isn't immaturity. At least I don't think so.

There. That right there, is a reasonable post. I'm sorry for calling you a foriegner, your grammar just looks like that of another foriegner on this site I know. Then again, if one is considered foriegn, then the one that considers one a foriegner is also a foriegner, seeing as how we are all foriegners to eachother through different countries. I'm getting tired of that word. Foriegner I mean.

This is the second damn week in a row I've missed this show. I'm pissed.
I did see Bulkhead flying through the space bridge and flaming though. Thank God for that. Hopefully he dies.

Really good episode, closing it all on a massive cliffhanger too. No decepticons were deployed, so who did that to Bulkhead?
Either MECH, or some new character.
I cant wait till next week!

Episode 40 -
Oh, I think I'm gonna like this episode. Ratchet and Wheeljack make for great character interaction right from the get-go.
Ratchet: "I proved my mettle during the War for Cybertron." - another nice callback to the game.
LASERBEAK CONFIMRED BY NAME ON SCREEN BY RATCHET!!!
Laserbeak is DOWN!
And so is the Jackhammer.
Ratchet is quite the devious plotter with that virus idea of his.
Soundwave already found the relic. He sure works fast.
Headbutt!
It cracked Soundwave's visor!
Looks like Soundwave can't see so good anymore.
Even when he's down, Soundwave is quite the sneak.
Uh oh, Soundwave's coming for Laserbeak.
Something fell off of Laserbeak after the virus finished uploading. I hope it wasn't anything important to Ratchet's plans.
Soundwave's got a spiffy glow-in-the-dark effect on his body.
Oh good, it was just Laserbeak's head that fell off before. And Soundwave retrieved it. 'Tis all good.
Soundwave gets away with the relic... and the virus.
And the relic of the week is... the Resonance Blaster, a sonic weapon made by Decepticon scientists.
And both Dreadwing and Knock Out are back from their failed missions.
Knock Out is now assigned to examine Laserbeak. Hope he doesn't discover the virus.
Well, he did find the grenade.
Wheeljack at least knows how to perform maintenance on the Jackhammer.
Soundwave's hooked up to the Iacon Database, and is wearing Laserbeak. Here''s hoping Ratchet's plan works.
And... IT IS! Hooray!
Knock Out has a suspiciously Starscream-esque look of envy towards Soundwave on his face.
A glimpse of next episode. Bulkhead's coming back to base and... he's down.
To Be Continued...
This was a good episode, but it focused more on Ratchet and Wheeljack than it did Soundwave. All we got of Soundwave was mostly from those he interacted with. I'm not asking him to speak, but at least let him have the spotlight for an episode once in a while.
Though, it was still nowhere near as enjoyable as the one-hour Rescue Bots even that aired this morning. Those episode were FANTASTIC! This was cool, but still outdone by its younger counterpart. Considering all that's happened thus far in both series, it's obvious that Rescue Bots is leaps and bounds better than Prime, as Prime tries way too hard at times and takes itself too seriously. There's little heart to it.
Next week, Bulkhead faces the biggest battle of his life.

Wow. Wow. WOW!!! I am in LOVE with this episode!!! I mean, I knew it was going to be awesome but WOW!!!
First of all from the very beginning Ratchet and Wheeljack have a GREAT dynamic. Ratchet's get-it-done no nonsense personality and Wheeljack's show-off flashy battle style react PERFECTLY to highlight both of the characters' traits. The sheer depth of these characters is mind-boggling. They annoy each other but they work perfectly at the same time.
Next is the dog fight. Again, wow. The whole choreography was so exciting! Ratchet was hilarious and the dynamic camera angles were flawless. It got me excited and hyped up for more!
The real icing on the cake was the trap, though. At first when Wheeljack suggested it I was grinning like a lunatic. FINALLY an Autobot that isn't afraid to get their hands dirty! But then Ratchet had to make it all the better by totally surprising me and suggesting some more. For a second I thought he was gonna contaminate the entire warship with cosmic rust or something but this was still genius. Especially the bit with the decoy, which is a tactic I'm glad to see used for once. And the tension at the end with Soundwave and Ratchet had me seriously at the edge of my seat.
In the Decepticon corner I had to smirk when it showed Knock Out. I've ALWAYS suspected that KO had shaky loyalties to the Decepticons, or at least no real respect for the chain of command. It's going to be absolutely fascinating to see how far his discontent will go. My theory is that he joined up with the Decepticons when they held most of Cybertron simply because they were the "winning team". He's always showed himself to be a fair weather fan.
I thought I was psyched for this episode last week, but now I think I'm gonna have to freeze myself and time it to wake me up in exactly seven days. The waiting is already killing me!

Re: The Official Transformers: Prime Discussion Thread
Since Saberblade has so expertly gone over the details I'll skip them.
The emotional dynamics in this episode were it's highlights I think. The fights were amazing but the three relationships; Raf/Ratchet, Ratchet/Wheeljack, Soundwave/Lazerbeak were the real show stealers.
In Soundwave we now have a Decepticon who is willing to sacrifice an Autobot kill to save his comrad. That is a depth of character that hasn't been given to any Con except perhaps Dreadwing.
Ratchet and Wheeljack have a great odd couple dynamic. Despite their obvious antipathy they work together when the chips are down. Watching them earn each other's respect feels natural and unforced. The writers of this show know what they are doing.
Raf, a human has earned the admiration of the crankiest of the Autobots. The subtle way the episode depicted the warmth of their relationship was really the highlight for me.

Oh I know, I am not a G1 enthusiast, But it is a stag beetle insecticon with "shell" in the name. Its obviously at the very least an homage to Bombshell, and could just be a rename due to rights. I only reason called him Bombshell before Hardshell is because I though a recognizable name was a more exciting way to start the paragraph.

That was a head?

Re: The Official Transformers: Prime Discussion Thread
This was a terrific episode. Ratchet & Wheeljack vs. Soundwave and Laserbeak is an awesome combo. Hopefully the Bulkhead episode will be good, I can't imagine it outdoing this.
I wonder how the Iacon database will play out. How many relics/weapons of mass destruction can there possibly be? Will Optimus be able to go Pax mode and decrypt the files?
And what's gonna happen when they start fighting with this stuff? Seems a lot like the Star-Saber/Skyboom Shield/Requiem Blaster thing.

I seriously love the medics in this series. Ratchet's grumpyness and Knock-Out ... well Knock-Out's just Knock-Out.

So I was wrong about Wheeljack.
The episode was great I found it funny how Megatron seems to care so much for Laserbeak although he's just a drone. Also loved the Knock out moment,
"I'm sure Knock Out and Me will will not fail" (or something along those lines.)
"Can you believe what the Autobots have done to me?!"
I so hope Bulkhead isn't dead, but it does look like it.
On the topic of Hardshell being Bombshell, well he is, remember that exclusive reissue of the Insecticons from a while back? Bombshell was renamed as Hardshell and Shrapnel as Sharpshot.
So he's this Continuities version of Bombshell, or homage at least.
Notice how every time Soundwave makes an appearance that more than just background stuff, he always comes out on top?
Awesome.

Leave it to Dead Metal to have the word 'Pronz' in his signature.

I don't think Wave came out on top. It's hard to say who did. The only failure here is Knock Out and Dreadwing

Funny you should say that, since two of those three are in this continuity (and one has already been found).YRQRM0 wrote:And what's gonna happen when they start fighting with this stuff? Seems a lot like the Star-Saber/Skyboom Shield/Requiem Blaster thing.
