wolverine vs the common cold

okay, so could volverine's healing properties find a cure for the common cold, or would it create the ultimate super virus, as it would constantly mutate.

wHAT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED IF WOLVERINE HAD UNPROTECTED SEX, AND CAUGHT AIDS, HE WOULD DIE, OR IT WOULD HAVE NO EFFECT ON HIM CAUSE OF HIS HEALING FACTOR?

The healing factor doesn't cure the common cold, it just keeps resisting every new mutation. Wolverine would stay alive as long as the healing factor worked well enough and nothing else seriously threatened him.
