I saw the pictures of the upcoming Classics 2.0, featuring Sunstreaker, and his repaint, Sideswipe.

They seem to be billed as TWINS.

I remember from G1 toys and tv shows, that Sideswipe's "twin" was Red Alert. I had both of them toys. They look exactly the same, except for the blinkers and color details. Both have the Lambo hood going to the chest.

While Sunstreaker is different. The hood splits and goes to the feet. The body shape, transformation, color, weapons, are all different.

Only the car mode is similar. Similar in the sense that their rear portion are not the same.

Sideswipe and Sunstreaker are brothers in the sense that they were created at the same time. Though they don't share the same mold, their functions and rank are the same.

Except that Sideswipe seemed to get more screen time on the G1 cartoon than Sunstreaker did. Sunstreaker was the darker one with his "win at all costs" attitude, but don't you dare scratch his paint job. Sideswipe was the lighter-hearted one.

Toy-wise, I really wish the G1 Sunstreaker got the same mold as Sideswipe did. Sideswipes look and transformation is better than poor old Sunstreakers. As it so happens, Sunstreaker is one of my all-time favorite characters. I am VERY much looking forward to seeing the finished product of him and Sideswipe in the Classics 2.0/Universe line!!!

It would be nice to see different molds. Than buying two exactly the same molds of different colors.
