Classics Prime or Movie Prime?

I've been considering this myself. I've not bought a Prime since the Energon Deluxe version but after seeing the movie I got the craving for some new TFs.
I don't like Classics Prime robot mode (or alt-mode) that much, as I feel its a bit too far from G1 Prime. Of course, by that reasoning Movie Prime is even less like the original. I may have to splash out and get 20th Anniversary Prime after all. Then again the Classics 2pack with Prime vs G2 Megs is pretty nice. At least the bot mode is spot on for an updated G1 Optimus. ARG!
Personally, in the Voyager Movie vs Classics debate, I'd say Classics, because it'll be gone sooner. You can always save up and go for the Movie version later if you want. It'll probably end up going on sale like the majority of (non-TF) movie tie-in toys from the past few years.

assembling a Neo-G1/TF:TM cast. Please PM if you have (or know of) the following at a reasonable price: Classics or Henkei Astrotrain, Sunstreaker, Sideswipe, or 3rd Party iGear Ratchet and Ironhide.
Also looking for Universe Repugnus and Overbite, Frostbite and Longhorn and any Webdiver toys.

I went ahead and bought the Classics Prime (along with Armorhide) from Hasbro Toy Shop this morning. Just couldn't resist after the outpour of love for him.
I also took some time to look at the Ultra Magnus vs. Skywarp 2-pack because Magnus is of the same mold. And damn, I have fallen in love again. I already love that mold to death, but the color scheme is just too f'n sweet (light blue is my fav color). Not only that but Skywarp is of the same mold as Starscream, which is fantastic.
I found that set on Amazon for $35, which I would gladly spend on it if I had extra $$$. Oh well, theres always next month.
For you guys who have it, how great is the Magnus/Skywarp 2-pack?

The magnus and skywarp 2 pack is awesome. Magnus is exactly the same as prime obviously, but since i dont have that version of classics prime i think Magnus is exceptional in both modes.
Skywarp is in a whole different league of his own though! I know he is just a repainted starscream but DAAAAMN are his colors hot! He looks simply kickass standing next to screamer!
I only paid £14.99 (19 bucks US) for mine, i stumbled across them in a local store.
YOU MUST BUY!

I have 4 Magnus vs. Skywarp packs, I love them THAT much!
Actually, I just picked up an extra 3 sets to kitbash (whenever I get around to it).

UM is VERY nice! Yes, he is a repaint, but a damn good repaint. To me, he is a must have. I have 2 of him. Skywarp, I wish I had 2 of him. He is simply a work of art. He puts Classics Starsream to shame in terms of paint apps. Simply a perfect Skywarp in my book. Better than the G1 toy Skywarp. Yes, I like Starscream too, and I do have him and recommend him as well, despite the less than great paint apps. I love the articulation on Classics Prime, Magnus, Starscream, and Skywarp! they look great in both modes too.

Wow. I didn't expect that 2-pack to get that much love around here. Alllllright, it is on my must have list indefinitely.
I will try to pick that up off Amazon in the beginning of next month, if not sooner.
Ha ha, I've tricked my gf into taking me to Target tonight to do some bedding shopping. Little does she know that I really just want to see if they have G1 redeco Jazz and Starscream in stock. Man, I'm good.

If you can find it, buy the UM & SW pack. Again, you will NOT be dissapointed.

I'm glad we are all on the same page.
My gf just doesn't understand the 24/7 Transformer itch, so I have to bribe her with words like shopping, jewerly, dinner, bedding and puppies to get her to do my bidding. Usually these bribes end up costing a lot of money and my toy hunting usually ends up with nothing to show for it.

They are both pretty good, but I myself would get Classic Prime.
He has great weapons and articulation, and his only real drawback is the truck doors on his arms, but they do make great shields.
Also, he's gonna be off the shelf soon, so get him while you can as Movie Voyager is just getting started, and with allthe potential repaints on the horizon, you'll have plenty of chances to get him.

I throw a tizzy till I get what I want.

I don't suggest it really. It's a shameful way to get what you want.

I'd have to say I can't even compare the two. Classics is more "Prime" than anything the movie ever made.

Very true, Scaleface.
After seeing more and more pictures of movie Prime, it just looks like a cheap Prime knockoff, not something that commands respect like the Classics version.
Looks like I tricked my gf into going to Target for nothing. Not a single TF at all, not even a stupid scout class.
I did however pick-up Long Arm for KB. That makes me very
However because I went to KB before I didn't snag Brawl or Arcee cause I was really looking for G1 Jazz or Starscream, so
All and all, I guess the day ends on a good note cuz I do have a new kick ass TF.
