Energon Prowl just kicks. Still my favourite version. Same with Rodimus. Energon Tidalwave rocks too. Looks really good standing with Cybertron Dark Crumplezone and RansackGTS. I also digg Cybertron Quickmix, Metroplex, Jetfire and Evac. They all represent their characters on a refined level. Energon deluxe Inferno, Towline, Demolisher dumptruck, Snowcat, Slugslinger all rocks. Movie Blackout is a bit down on scale, but still kicks too. I can keep going, like Takara GF Starscream IS the pinnacle version, and movie Jazz still rocks.

Cosmos! Can you beat a little alien UFO with blasters for hands?
BT Wheeljack. Sure, the transformation is a roshambone contest, but both modes are kicking.
And I'll second RiD Megatron. That is SOOOOOOO Cool! So many modes, so much versitility, so much playability, double-sword, Predacon Pachyderm!
Action Master Soundwave. Best of the Action masters, I think. VERY show accurate and with its own little ratbat gun.

Let's see...
Movie Voyager Megatron. I think I took about a hundred pictures of him within the first 24 hours I had him. The springy feet make so many poses possible.
Movie Jazz, any version.
Spychangers, both RiD and Universe. They're cheap, easy to collect, don't take up a ton of space and they'll run on my old orange Hot Wheels track.

It might be obvious in the name, but the Cyberjets!
There were only 3 molds, but they made 6 figures. Gotta love Hasbro...
They were some of the first TFs to use ball-socket joints. Plus the firing missile gimick that worked on pressure was nifty.

I like Movie Voyager Starscream/Thundercracker. Everyone seems to hate this mold for one reason or another (probably because it trailed so far from their beloved G1 SS...). The chicken legs actually make many poses possible, and with triple-missile-launchers on each arm, who needs hands?
One thing I do - not just with SS and TC, but any TF that has their head visible in alt mode, is turn it around. With TC, it makes the orange behind his head look like a little flame from behind the jet. Anyone get what I'm saying?

Deluxe Brawl. A few easy mods solve the shoulder problem.
Deluxe Longarm. I happen to like the huge gun and duck feet.
G1 Gears. I don't know if anyone dislikes him. As my first TF he has remained one of my favorites.
Leader Megatron. A little paint completly changes the figure.

Where TF characters are concerned, I barely ever see anyone mention Brawn as one of their favorites, which always disappoints me....It's too bad that he's become such a forgotten character over the years since I think he would have made an excellent Alternator and an even better Classic.
I totally agree with you. Brawn is one of my favorite G1 characters - for the same reasons you listed. We were very close to having a botcon repaint/remold in the 2005 set, but at the last minute, the idea was scrapped in favor of a straight Energon Strongarm repaint who represented an upgrade Outback.

I have even gone so far as to repaint that mold as my "classicverse" Brawn. I've posted pics in the kitbash forum.

I love this figure both in it's original form, as well as repainted as Hoist. The pic below is a work in progress, but you get the idea. Plus it gets rid of the duck feet.

I agree with you here too. Gears was one of my first TFs (Prime was first) and I always remembered the figure even after 20+ years aways from TFs. The lack of a Gears figure or even a similar paint scheme on another figure really bothers me. He was a memorable character - like him or hate him. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a Classics 2.0 deluxe class Gears.Grahf wrote:G1 Gears. I don't know if anyone dislikes him. As my first TF he has remained one of my favorites.

I'm not sure how many of my favorite Transformers most people hate, but here is some.
Titanium Soundwave:
Why all the hate? Sure, he doesn't look EXACTLY like G1 Soundwave, but does it really matter? Not to me! He keeps me company at my desk!
Movie Starscream:
I love movie Starscream. Most people are like "Bla bla bla, he looks like a giant metal chicken, bla bla bla." I don't see it. He more reminds me of a giant bird of prey or maybe a metal velocirapter. But chicken? I don't think so.
Armada Starscream:
I love his character. He is, by far, my favorite Starscream character. I don't like how far parts of him stick out in the back, and I love G1 Starscream's alt mode better. But I still really really love my Armada Starscream.
TRU Soundwave:
I love my TRU Soundwave. A lot of people don't like him, and I can't figure out why. I've heard that his plastic feels cheap compared to other Transformers. But I have my 1984 Soundwave that I have had since I was a child. His plastic feels about the same. My husband couldn't tell them apart (plastic wise). I don't know. Maybe it's the double tape capacity thing. I love him though!

BTW ~ This is a great topic. Now that I've commented on others' comments, I'll throw in my two cents:
Energon Swoop - I love this figure and feel that it fits in perfectly with my other Classics figures. I've seen some negative comments about him, but I don't understand why
Classics Deluxe Megatron - Not my favorite picture and sure, it could've been done better, but I think it's great that Hasbro gave us not just a G1 homage but also a G2 homage. The head mold on this figure is the best Megs head out there, IMO.
Movie Ironhide - I don't mind the gas tanks/guns or the shoulderpads. I think this figure has tons of playability and a very satisfying (albeit at times frustrating) transformation.

Ultimate Bumblebee.
He stands as guardian on top of our television.
My girlfriend likes him more than any other Transformer. If you take him as a different kind of toy, he's fun. It's only by the measures we use for most Transformers that he doesn't stack up. Judge him as a unique assembly of creative features, and he's worth having.

Titanium Soundwave: bitch bitch bitch. Let's all complain about a toy that really isn't as bad as we all want people to think we think it is.
Voyager Movie Megatron: the Leader version looks like the robot equivalent of one of those clowns you fill up with air and then punch in the face and it rocks back and forth but never falls over. But right, the Voyager version sucks....
RID Mega/Galvatron: yes, some of the alt modes are crummy, but robot mode is good.
Voyager Movie Prime: ugh, he has a backpack. Man, how ugly the backpack is and it makes it hard to stand him up. Damn, the 'scalpers' bought them all and now I can't have one. (Sarcasm and bad acting, I have V. Prime and like him alot.)
---perhaps my bad acting and not funny humor may remind ol' Leo of some British sitcoms....---
Right, like the Deluxe BBs are so darn great. The old Camaro broke when you transformed it the first time and the concept BB is just junk, but Prime has a backpack and that's a travesty.
Classics Astrotrain: both alt modes look fake and silly? It's a ROBOT that turns into both a TRAIN and a SPACE SHUTTLE. That's not goofy at all.....
G1 Astrotrain: it's too small, it's not to scale......I remember it only being a toy and not a life-sized mock up.
There's like a million more. I seem to like what everyone else hates.
I don't think I have ever met anyone else I agree with this much.

How could I have forgotten the Energon combiners? Everyone seems to have terrible QC issues with them, so I must have three of the only well made ones in the world, since mine can stand up fine and don't fall over and all the parts fit together fine. Lucky, lucky me.

Mine are good too, maybe we have the only six?
I don't know if anyone hates them per say, but they don't come up much:
Snarl (G1)
Powerglide (G1)
I like classics Grimlock too and Ult. BB too.....

A lot of folks are posting RID Megs and Galvatron.
I never realized they were hated?!?!?!
I love this mold. Oh sure, I don't really consider him Megatron, but he is one of the most fun TFs ever! I have Megs next to my desk and he goes into a different alt mode just about every week. Great figures!
I'm also a fan of some of the movie FAB figures. I really like the Prime & brawl. Other than the chicken feet, the Starscream is pretty cool, and a heluva lot of fun to transform.
Finally (prepare your rotten eggs and tomatoes) I really like several of the StarWars TFs.
Seriously, a few of them are pretty cool, simply as fun transforming robots. I have 1 of the Jedi starfighters, the greivous bike and the arc-170 fighter. I'm looking forward to the Turbo Tank and I already know I'm getting the DarthStar for Christmas. I agree a lot of them are lame, but I really like the ones I have.
