Don't get me wrong. There is nothing wrong with the HG Kits per se., it is just that I feel the MG kits are that step up in quality again and worth the extra money where available.
As promised some pics of my MG Freedom. Still needs a little more work and decals but I'm pleased with the look so far.

Thanks. It was admiring yours that prompted me to take some
pics.
How durable are the decals? Are they a case of once applied stop handling the kit or will they survive the occasional careful change of pose?
Thanks.

They're pretty durable, just don't take an eraser or dig a fingernail into them. Dry transfer's are sort of tricky, so here's what I found works best: cut a piece of scotch tape that covers the ENTIRE decal. Stick the front side of it, then tape the whole thing to it. After that, use a ball point pen (Plain white bics work best, they're not sharp at all) and press really hard. Scribble horizontally, then vertically. If you look close, you should see it starting to separate. After that, start removing the tape from both sides equally and slowly, and when you have enough removed just lift it off. If you see some of the decal starting to come off don't panic. Just reaffix the tape and scribble that area again. If you mess up let me know, I have an extra Freedom decal set I can hook you up with (no charge).

I am not a fan of Kira or his Freedom.Steeleye wrote:Don't get me wrong. There is nothing wrong with the HG Kits per se., it is just that I feel the MG kits are that step up in quality again and worth the extra money where available.

Why is a MS with several big guns, heavy and yet fast as jet fighter and also small. That is not a real robot type Macha.

SD Info
Alright for one thing sorry for the necropost but this is where it's s'posed to go (I think) so I'm putting it here. Here's my story, a couple years ago my brother got an SD Neue Ziel. I thought it was pretty cool and once in a while asked him if he was planning on consructing it. We both sorta forgot about it, and yesterday I saw it sitting on my brother's shelf looking mighty lonely so I decided to build it. It was really fun and I think he looks cool up on my bro's shelf with Cloud and Lezard so I've been trying to get more. I know hlj's and awesome place to go and I'm gonna start checking out some hobby shops.
Now here's the thing I know this one and all the newer SD's are snap together require no cement or paint (although paint can make it look nice.), but do all of them require no glue or paint? Even the older ones? Thanks for helping me out

Thanks, I was unsure because on hlj it said for the older ones, DOES require cement and paint for use but the newer ones was the opposite, so I was quite unsure. Anyways I live in Ottawa so if anyone knows anyplace I can get Gundam kits (and other mecha)much obliged!

Yeah, after doing some searching online for shops in my area, the only one that specifically said it sold Gundams was in Vancouver, so if I'm ever in town over there I'll drop by... so I'll check around, I'm hoping to stumble upon an Anime shop and find them there.
Thanks for all the help!

I also have that HG Abyss. On that subject, did any of you guys noticed that the Destiny kits overal seem a bit "better" then their seed counterparts? It just looks to me like they have more detail/more gimmicks
It's called "evolution".
Yea the destiny kids are really good. Though I kinda wish some of them had multicolored beam trees (*coughstrkefreedomcoughInfiniteJusticecoughDOMtroopercough) but I gueass that was a cost saving measure.
Also, wheres my Windam dammit!!
Edit: The Fg stuff looks like a big step up from the no grade seed line, but they still look like hell to paintr, I'm sticking with HG's thanks.

Yippee! I am so glad I found that store, I just got Shining Gundam SD and it is very cool up on my shelf! I am planning on working my way up to PG someday although it's a little intimidating so only when my skill's good.
