I didn't buy the original movie Jazz because so many people had problems with it, and I just wasn't feeling the design. However, with retail stores being inundated with G1 and Final Battle Jazzes (the latter of which seems to make up the majority of the most recent wave case assortments), did they fix any of the problems that they could without altering the mold altogether?
The Final Battle Jazz really does look quite nifty, so much so that I might need to purchase it when I get the chance.
The Jazz variations: merely cosmetic or more than that?

I don't have FB or regular Jazz (too ugly for my liking), but I just got the G1 version and I love it.
I think there are some minor mold changes and perhaps a different weapon for FB Jazz.

G1 Jazz is a straight redeco of Movie Jazz. Final Battle Jazz has "battle damage" molding and a more movie accurate weapon, but, otherwise, has no mold changes.

One note, FB Jazz actually has battle damage molded instead of a repaint like battle damage BB and OP. I think car mode still looks the same though.
In the end he'll have the same issues, the hands aargh!!!, as the others.
G1 Jazz does look sweet though and the redeco hides a lot of the tranformation lines which makes the alt mode really nice.

Autobot Jazz: Original mold, sword weapon.
Target Exclusive G1 Jazz: Original mold, sword weapon, repainted.
Final Battle Jazz: Remolded body (damage and paint), movie accurate weapon, arms redesigned. (Black connector that holds hood to fender, which becomes the arm, is now held in with a pin, plus the connector is half the size of the original. The original's isn't pinned in.)
I still prefer the original Jazz body, with the FBJazz's weapon. Looks fantastic.

G1 Jazz is supposed to have the same arm alteration as well. Or some do, Solidus mentioned his were like that.

To fix the errors and bad parts of Movie Jazz would have required Hasbro to spend money, so no, no changes.
Both G1 and Final Battle Jazz still have the same Hands/arms issues and the roof that does nothing still can be used as a rather over-large shield.
