Not a toy, but I got my 4K copy of the 86 Transformers the Movie in from Amazon Monday. Glad it survived, steel boxes don't do so great in bubble mailers.

4k?!

Well, it was on film donuts most likely possible. Tell us how the picture quality is later because I have a few blue rays that are no better than the actual DVD.
Some scenes on a 60" 4K TV must be so awesome!

Thanks to Will, I was able to get Siege Red Alert that I skipped for reasons, and get back my spare SOTM Leader Ironhide that I sold him years ago. I sold mine at my local Geek Store but I always kinda regretted it. Now the big guy is back!

Kingdom Red Alert is better, but it's fun to have his origins.

I forgot how fun DOTM Leader Ironhide was.
HERE'S GERWALK!

He is big, imposing, and perfect looking. Screw scale, this is the best Ironhide ever! ...That is, despite his weak legs ratchets and top-heaviness and slippery feet that make fancy posing impossible.

Remember when leader had lights and sounds gimmicks?

I was able to get into a rant about how it suck that modern leaders are smaller, but on second thought, they are not that small. Plus we now have "mini masterpieces" with lots of parts and intricate engineering. Plus they are in scale in bot mode. So yeah, the old leaders had their strengths, but they did had their lot of weaknesses too. So yeah, modern leaders beat the old ones when you truly think about it.

With the old leader back, I definitely have no plans to ever get the SS voyager "smiley bumper" Ironhide.

Got a Judge and core class Soundwave.
The alt mode for the Judge is trash, but he'll never be transformed anyway. All the faces look spot on and really nice.
I dig all these core class guys. I'm going to display them in my office, so I don't have to bring in the full voyager sized versions.

This guy finally arrived. To bad he won't last long in my collection since he will be transformed with the help of something that I posted in the 3rd party thread (unofficial-transformers-3rd-party-ko-toy-haul-thread-t89840s650.php#p2112393).

Last week's hauls, commander and titan.
Lost out on QC roulette with Rodimus. The trailer is a gappy mess and he was missing his dark black blast effects from the parts bag.
Found another one yesterday and will compare the trailers and return the one that is worse. Haven't had a chance to open the Ark yet, hopefully tonight.

An eBay and a Amazon.jp haul.
From Amazon, I finally got the DOTM deluxe Soundwave mold with Movie Advanced Darkness Soundwave. I also got back AM-17 Swerve that I foolishly sold some months ago. Both were expensive as balls....
From eBay, I got Cybertron Metroplex and one more Backstop. I bought it before the rumors for the next titan were floating around. Appart the missing minicon (only way to get that minicon is to buy Metroplex brand new for a zillion roopies) I do hope he's truly complete.

I really love the fact that he have two bot mode. The tall and lean jack:

And the stubby strongman:

That weapon is ridiculous for the bot mode. It even have working electronics! But ironically, it's still too small for the vehicle mode (who is not too bad on second thought.) Unfortunate that neither ends can reach the ground.

I wonder how they will improve on the design for the new titan? (if the rumor turn out to be true.)

Went to Target and found the Ark in store!!! Snagged him while I had the chance. Awesome in every way. The core class figures are just the right size to scale right with it. The Voyagers throw that scale off a bit, but still look nice with it. Love the light piping on the eyes for both the Ark and Mainframe.

Surprisingly, I hear more and more people finding this in store. I know my local Target has had it at least 3 times. (Whether that means 3 or 6 Ark's I am unsure), but they all sold.
Just curious, do the small panels on the front that you fold back (basically the ones to start the transformation into robot mode) pop off easily? Mine do unfortunately.

Me and my friend went on a small roadtrip to hunt for Transformers. All those miles weren't for naught.
First, my friend got what may be his first beastformer
With Cyberverse Warrior Hammerbyte. Then Cyberverse Warrior Soundwave. At E.B Games, Leader SS Grindor. And finally, SS voyager Brawl.
As for me, I miraculously found a a FAR AWAY Walmart the vintage BW Megatron reissue. No need for the Maximals. Also a Cyberverse deluxe Soundwave. It was a returned copy so it's a miracle I have it at all. Fortunately nothing is missing.
Not from the hunt but an Amazon.com delivery: Select Galactic Man Shockwave!

Apparently Hasbro Pulse treated Red Alert as a pre-order because they shipped him separate from the rest of my order. Got him Friday, but on Thursday from the same order I got Cyber Battalion Jetfire (neat that Pulse carried these) which I did want and probably would have bought from Walgreens when I bought Red Alert, but that quickly became unnecessary on both fronts. Added PR Ninjor to pad out the free shipping, but he wont show up until October.
Also got Kingdom Rhinox from Target.com after many delays, fully expected them to cancel him on me.

Trying to get a contemporary G1 lineup.
I'm planning on getting studio series 86 Grimlock, Walmart Netflix exclusive Optimus Prime, Walmart Netflix exclusive Bumblebee, and Unite Warriors Devastator.
I know I have The Target exclusive Red Wing as opposed to Starscream, but I think it looks so much better!
Here's what I have so far...

Look up for the upcoming leader SS86 Coronation Starscream. This promise to be an interesting set.
And you have lot of choices for Megatrons.

Thanks! Coronation Starscream looks solid, but he's taller if the specs are accurate?
I really love the gun-metal Megatron with minimal battle damage as opposed to the other variants of the mold.

Don't ever look at the product description for figure heights. Each class has a generic height that is used. The coronation starscream is exactly the same height as the ER figure (since they are the same figure). The ER one is a bit shorter than the siege one for reference.

The hands are not the same. It have articulated fingers. How those fingers are articulated, I don't know. There may be some other mold changes as well, most likely to fit the coronation gear.
