That's partly why they're collectors' pieces, I think - they're for people that want show-accurate toys of characters from a twenty-year-old cartoon. O, and of course, the level of detail and technical engineering is a primary factor. For people like you and AK who like their show-accurate robots the Masterpiece line, while not perfect, is great. I was never so fussed about show-accuracy and after I sold my Alts it seemed pointless for me to have four super-size characters amongst a selection of deluxes, voyagers, etc.

I've always wondered why Hasbro doesn't do the same show-accurate paint jobs.

You're not really comparing apples with apples here, which was sort of our original point. Most, no all, classic are cheaper that Masterpeice figures, even the exclusives! Imaging if Masterpiece Thundercracker ends up being an eHobby exclusive? You wont be chorrtling quite so hard at the classics collector then will you?
I prefer the Masterpeice line to Classics but that's not to say I thibk it's better, it just appeals to me more. I can see plenty good reasons for people to prefer Classics to Masterpieice especially if you life stateside where you can pick they up for 10 bucks a peice. So you're claim that Masterpiece complared with Classics proves without a doubt that Takara are the true kings of Transformers just deosnt hold any water.

Hasbro: Classics...
Takara: Masterpiece..
Nuff said folks!!
That's not enough said at all.
No.
Not nearly at all.
You don't have to hate on Classics anymore, apparantly rumor is that Thundercracker is getting a general release this Christmas.
Nah, just kidding you. Thundercracker is never going to be available in some filthy WalMart. Classics rock yo ass.

people hold the classic line up too much on a pedestal...and as far as my long ramblings go...
I........really .............don't care to argue anymore.. Fine... classics are the ****!!! But I'm not buying them...I refuse to support a line that ends up being fodder for Numerous Botcon exclusives, and there is no way the exclusives are cheaper then the Masterpieces, they sell around 100.00 to 250.00 on eBay, so I see no price concessions there, I see a figure whose basically a toy, whose released into a line up that was held half for Botcon, and the other to cater to G-1 collectors whose only wish was an updated versions of their toys similar to the Cybertron series, whereas I can justify paying the huge money for a toy that is a Masterpiece of a figure that should have been updated and took 20 years to do so.. your right apples and oranges..
the Apples (Masterpieces) are better as a collector for what I desire.. I will never understand your classics fetish.. none of you...

I will take this at $110.00 and what it costs to obtain it...even if it's more expensive through e-hobby, its worth it...

over this at $100.00 TO $150.00 on eBay, any day of the week!!!
