Must have been aftermarket. Pontiac doesn't offer (check their site) the removable hardtop from the factory or as a GM accessory (yet). Only come soft tops. But they have been and probably still are toying with the idea of a strictly hardtop model. Nonremovable roof, and it's kinda ugly.
yes it's set for a 2009 release with a slightly bigger engine

For the N/A'ed? The GXP version got a new motor, the 260hp/260ft.lbs turbo. And it zips around nicely from all accounts.

yummy, but I'de rather have a camaro

HP/weight ratio favors the Solstice. I already have a 2002 Firebird, now I need a roadster, though I like the Camaro, it just won't fit in. Need another V8 like a hole in the head.

well..
WHAT THE HELL WAS THE NEW CONCEPT CAMARO DOING JUST DRIVING AROUND TOWN?!
It still bugs me, this is a concept car that hasn't even made it to production yet (or hadn't been at the time of filming, or at the time the movie takes place...) I mean, Jazz scanned the Solstice from the dealership even though it would make more sense to see the Solstice driving around and the new Camaro at a dealership or car show... not the other way around...
Is anyone else bothered by that?
....And ya know what else? I don't even think there is a such thing as alien robots that turn into cars.

I'm more bothered by the notion that an old Camaro went two-wheeling through a tunnel full of other cars, and no one seemed to be bothered by that.

Umm, I'd hate to disappoint you but I saw a hardtop silver Solstice around the Cincinnati area. No joke on this, even if the company says they won't produce one til '09, I still saw one around my area.

What you saw was most likely an aftermarket top afixed to a regular Solstice. So he's still right in saying the hardtop isn't for sale. Pontiac does not sell a hardtop yet.
All Jazz was is the repainted Solstice Club Racer shown at SEMA way before the movie ever came out. He's the same, just not orange and with dark rims. I suspect the VIN would even be the same, as the SEMA cars have been known to be recycled.

This orange Solstice is a killer!
Looks bigger than the Jazz Solstice in the Movie.

LOL! I glanced at your comment and totally thought you were trying to say something to the effect of, giant robots came down from space and you're worried about a concept car being driven around. Oh man, I need to stop reading threads late at night!

Nope.
The 08 Camaro was just being test driven to see if it worls just when bumblebee scaned it.

Usually when they do take a concept car on a test drive in public, it either has those ugly black covers on the body so it's harder to make out what it looks like or some type of paint job that tries to camo and obscure the way the car looks.

Where are the leaks for TF2?
And the concept cars didn't bother me, probably just because I'm used to seeing not-yet-available vehicles in movies. It never occurred to me to question the realism of it until I read this thread. Alas, I am falling down on my nit-picking duties! *is ashamed*

I think there's really no "official" TF2 leaks yet.
