I get what they were going for, but I wish they would've held off on the autotransform for the data disks. I believe that they would've been able to convert into more satisfying (and poseable) robots if they weren't tied to having to do so much at the push of a button.
It's really a shame since it's the first time in such a long while that we had so many of the cassette agents available, especially in one format like the G1 days. If I was a customizer, I would see if I could take the springs out so that at least the figures could be posed.
I'm also dying to reverse Ratbat's head so that his back would be his front and he could resemble his G1 self more. I just don't think it would work.

For me, much of the Generations: Fall of Cybertron figures seem to be a big let-down. Soundwave, Shockwave, and the Seekers are a tie as best for me (well, with the exception of the Seekers' weapons, and Soundwave's lack of a hand-held weapon).
As for the worst... I dunno. The Combaticons could've definitely been improved, as well as Bruticus. Optimus Prime and Ultra Magnus were just too small. Jazz and Sideswipe, though appreciated to help bolster the Autobot ranks, could've been designed better. If I had to choose, I'd probably pick Onslaught. Yes, he makes a decent combiner torso, but the robot and vehicle modes suffer because of it.

As it turns out, I got a second voyager Soundwave, because the first one I got had a faulty door that wouldn't stay in position for vehicle mode. So, I ended up with an extra shoulder cannon that I use as a hand-held gun (The extra Soundwave is in a box being saved for I don't know yet.

I really like Voyager Soundwave mold, I don't know what it is because those arms are so weird, an I like FOC Blaster even more. I would say this is my favorite.
I wanted to like kickback, but can't, the front legs on mine can't support his weight for some reason? Not worst, just disappointing.
If scale is not an issue for you, I really love FOC Shockwave, the only bad thing you can say is he is tiny, his sculpt and design is great!
Grimlock is awesome, this isn't MP so I don't really understand the complaints that he isn't a flawless version of the game design.
worst ... I can't get into the data discs ...

thats what i shoulda said. the data discs. particularly the humanoids (rumble frenzy eject rewind). i really do give them props for trying, but they were a fail in the end. i think they suffer most from the "spring" transformation gimmick. removing that i think they could have had some proper joints for posability.warzon3 wrote:Grimlock is awesome, this isn't MP so I don't really understand the complaints that he isn't a flawless version of the game design.

question to the gamers: did grimlock have the back flaps in the game or did zenith forge(?) make that add on simply to make him more G1?
personally, i have the takara grim with the artek head and gun upgrade, and pose him in bot mode with his dino arms pointing out and up from his back. looks good enough for me

Grimlock didn't have wings in the game. I think he looks fine with or without them.
assembling a Neo-G1/TF:TM cast. Please PM if you have (or know of) the following at a reasonable price: Classics or Henkei Astrotrain, Sunstreaker, Sideswipe, or 3rd Party iGear Ratchet and Ironhide.
