People judge it far too harshly. It was really quite a good show. It certainly outstrips G1 as far as narrative goes.

I loved it anyway! It didn't matter to me! I was spell-bound the moment it aired! XD

Armada had a sort of "overall plot" whereas G1 seldom had full story arcs.

And the animation in Armada is better (obviously).

But I feel that it's a bit too cheesy.

As for me, my generation was Beast Wars.

To me, the children ruin Armada, as well as the dialogue, the voices (which sound like they are speaking into cans) and the "Transform!" bit. I went into it with an open mind, completely wanting to love it because I saw how good the animation looked.

Now, G1 had the embarrassing art goofs (though they are kind of endearing), the utterly cheesy dialogue, and the clunky designs. But I still like it best.

Beast Wars, I watched as a child, but as an adult I cannot tolerate it.

It's pretty and the voices fit the characters but it needs some plot holes stitched up.

The voice actors also needed more practise.

And no damn humans! Gawd I hated them. I kept hoping that one of the 'Cons would "Eat them." (Demolisher's words, not mine.)

I think that's what drew a lot of people into that series. That and it was aired on Cartoon Network during Toonami at some point wasn't it? Sis am I right?
