This wave looks decent, Rachael looks good. But Cyclops and Cap, the heads look screwy, same with Colossus.
The Brood sculpt just looks all sorts of "WTF."
I'm not sure why you'd think Cyclops and Colossus look odd; I can understand Cap though.
Cap is a 'First Appearance' figure, meaning he's sculpted stylistically in order to replicate how the character's first comics drew him. (In this instance, poorly...)
What is wrong with the Brood Queen? Best I can tell, she looks a lot like her comic counterpart.
For Cyclops, his head isn't proportioned right, with his giant friggin' neck muscles, his head should either be slightly larger or the muscles should be smaller.
Like this Cyclops bust.

You compare that to the Cyclops figure, you can see the figure is all sorts of screwy. As for Colossus, I guess it's that they added hella-lot of detail to the figure, makes the figure look like Tim Robbins in a tin-foil suit.
As for the Brood queen, maybe it's just the pose and the angle of the shot that screams more "ooga booga scooby and shaggy" and less "I'm the ferocious queen of an alien spiecies that will kill the crap out of you and your planet."
