Goddamn. That's about all I can say.
I've read, on wikis and such, about what happened there. The Sith Empire had arranged for negotiations with the Republic on some neutral world. With the bulk of the Republic's forces there, the Empire went ahead and easily took Coruscant for themselves. The Sith Emperor (Who is from been from well before Revan's time) set up the Dark Council in the Jedi Temple Or, according to this, what's left of it, but then disappeared.
That's about all I know.
