Guys, help, I am making poor life decisions right now!!!
There's that Ebay coupon for 15% off running through 11pm eastern right?. Well, I made an offer on a complete, with box and everything, Tigerhawk and I got him. for $73 with free shipping. And then since the coupon was active for a full order, after putting a Depthcharge, a Rattrap, and a Cheetor in my cart, I finally went with just Tigerhawk and then a complete Silverbolt. spent $90 tonight, but it could have been worse. I nearly got a version of those other 3.
Oh and Dinobot shipped out, yay!!!
So yeah, 3 of my top Beast Wars characters to get within 24 hours. Now I gotta cool down (and pay Cram so the last of the 4 can come), and then give it some time.
But, the exciting thing is we are expecting 2 Fuzors, a transmetal 2, and club exclusive next week!

NICE, D-Max! Beast Hunts are so much fun, since the figures aren't hard to find and bargains can still be found. Four scored = UR WINNING.

00-Quant

So I finished up 00 Quant. (I can't get the same name twice, but I am imagining his name is 00 Quant cause it sounds cool). He was my 2nd of 3 Gundam that I got, and the 2nd to be built.
Overall, he was interesting. He and Barbatos are a lot like MP-36 and Titans Return Megatrons really. Quant is like MP-36: he is detailed, he is very posable, not many things get in the way, and he has some cool accessories, but with the major drawback that getting him to this mode was such a pain. It took me 9 hours with him compared to 5 with Barbatos, and I had to spend a half hour finding how I missed 4 parts and locating where they were supposed to go (and I check to make sure they were supposed to go on him). And his stand he comes with is not set up for him, he cannot attach to it! it's useless! Good thing I had a spare that i got with him when I didn't know he came with a stand (they were both birthday gifts). Barbatos is a lot like TR Megs where he was more fun to get to the mode he's in now, but he isnt' as posable, some things get in the way, and his weapons are a bit lame compared to Quant and can get in the way.
But Barbatos has a really awesome stylization to him, and his name rocks, and he looks great on a stand so he is still awesome. Quant is more posable and the weapons are more awesome and are more useful, so both have nice pluses.
But both are good. I am not looking forward to the week it'll probably take to put blue Frame (I'm gonna call this guy Atlas, for obvious reasons), but I still look forward to having all 3 together.
Well, have some round the body shots of the new Quant! And see him from last night when he was nearly done, complete with my Skillet CD.

You sure Qan[T] doesn't have an adapter piece for the stand?
Either way, awesome build! Can't wait to have one of my own in fifteen months!

Yeah, the adapter meant for him does not peg into the stand, they both have the "male" end of a peg, and taking the stand apart doesn't bring about the proper connection

I've been trying for an hour to find a lost set of papers so I can head out for Easter to my families, but while scurrying around and thinking, 2 packages arrived. I was not expecting the one until next week, and the other came a day early thank goodness, otherwise he would be sitting out until Sunday night.
Anyways, here we go!

Silverbolt wasn't supposed to be here till next week, in case you were wondering. Man I am excited to play with these guys next week!
And Tigerhawk and Rampage will be here too! It's gonna be a blast!!!

Sweet scores, D-Max! I never pulled the trigger on Silverbolt, despite him being in the affordable range -- same with Dinobot (FAIL on my part!). With Rampage and Tigerhawk coming, it's definitely gonna be a BEAST WAR!
Have a nice Easter and you know I'm looking forward to seeing all of 'em!

Well, I may not have any pictures yet to share, seeing as how I've only gotten to transform them back to beast mode again a bit ago, but hot damn, I may just give up on the new guys, sell some intermediately new guys, and hunt down more beasts.
Let's start with Silverbolt: fun as I had hoped he'd be. The alt mode is sweet, the joints are tight, and I love his alt mode. The robot mode is spot on, and one of my favorite BW characters jumped right off the screen into my loving arms. He will be getting some picture time real soon, as will some other guys I need to snap some shots of.
Dinobot 2: class of his own. He is my 2nd Transmetal 2 after Prowl, and I like the design enough that I plan to hunt down Jawbreaker at least for more TM2 madness. It also helps convince me that TM1 or TM2 Cheetor will work. Gotta wait though, give these guys some love and space things out.
sidetracked: Dinobot 2 is amazing!!!!!!!! This raptor mode is incredible and to die for, and it's so BIGGGGGG. Thing thing goes on forever, it's an incredible size for a deluxe. And figuring out some of the tricks of him to make things look fun and posable is great too. Transformation is incredibly fun and robot mode is appropriately terrifying, even if he could use some face paint to bring out those details. Oh and he will stand with his tail in show style, which is how I like him. I am going to be taking some Frankenstein type photos with this guy! He and Tigerhawk will be going out on a stormy day for pictures.
The current hasbro team could really take some cues from these guys, they are in a whole other class than some of the recent figures. Some, not all (stares at Battletrap, Topspin, Windblade, and Rodimus Unicronus in a good way).
Also, I got Dinobot 2's cardback, and the packaging art is sick. John Warden, get over your beast hatred and look at these, they killed it.
I have also learned that Peaugh and Baltmatrix are very unreliable for reviews. I watched their older Beast War reviews, and they sucked. They could not even transform their figures right! And missed whole gimmicks and things these guys could do!

That Gundam looks sweet. It’s a really super sleek design. Maybe I’ll attempt a Master Grade far down the line but right now I only plan on getting the High Grades when I get the Gundam itch.
Oh and I can’t wait to see Rampage and Tigerhawk when they arrive. You’re definitely living the Beast Wars dream.

I love that you're having fun with them. Another Dinobot convert is always welcome
And Silverbolt is great. Aside from his backpack not tilting back like it does in the show, he is essentially perfect already.

Except Thew.

I'm glad you're liking the beasts!! I still only have Optimal Optimus. Maybe I'll pull a you and pick up the TV series on the cheap and then pine over who I want to find. And yeah, the artwork on those boxes was awesome!!

I think I have my favorite Beast Wars era toy right here:

Transform!!!!

With the guy who later took some visual cues:

And my Predacons:

Unfortunately, it was only after putting them up on a shelf and realizing that some time this week I will be moving some guys around and making a pure Beast Wars shelf did I realize i left a Pred out, today's new arrival from Crambo to finish out the Botcon pair!!
